I got a PM from a Breh who was thinking about either the Airforce or Navy. I don't want to put him out there but I steered him toward the Navy I suggested that he do something active where he can be stationed in Japan but riding a boat. Do Seebees do cruises? I heard there's some small boat units that aren't SWCC what is that called?

On the Airforce side of the house what do they call Airmen enablers? Is there a selection process for this? I guess he could be a Security Forces guy could a cat get a guarantee to be stationed in say OCONUS preferably Germany, Japan or Korea?
There's a LOT of confusion in this thread on "enabler" status.

In the Air Force, "enabler" is a deployability status that is different from our typical "deployment band" system seen in most AFSCs. Enablers are essentially the AFSCs that MUST be present for a deployed mission. Examples include aircrew, intelligence, weather, etc...jobs like finance are NOT enablers. Being an enabler doesn't mean you're some badass SOF dude with frag grenades on your belt. I'm an enabler, and am still just a desk jockey.

How is cyber in the army? Good prospects once you leave? I'm joining to make full use of the opportunities the army provides, I'm not patriotic at all tbh.

Thats the area I'm going into. I don't actually have any real IT experience, just very basic knowledge. I really need to self learn before I get into basic to be ahead.

It's funny how the cultures of the services are completely different. Even the literal Finance people in the ARSOF community because they deal with unconventional funding and they will pull duty if deployed especially if they deploy with their unit. It's seen as "special" You're not allowed to be a shytbag and you have to have a "can do" attidute.

For example take parachute riggers, all they do is pack parachutes and make sure shyt lands correctly. AF loadmasters are repsonsible for trucks and things that might be dropped on the bird the riggers are responsible for ensuring that it lands right. Anyone in an Airborne unit (at least in the Army) can be put on "heavy drop detail" where you help the riggers rig up the eqiupment for a jump. In anything a infantry private in the 82nd would not get this job if an admin E-4 was availble. (Like I told @Dave24 usually an "easy" job in the army is hard because you get put on these shyt details all the time as a Pogue)

The Rangers have their own riggers who have to go to Ranger school and meet Ranger PT and combat standards although the chances of them ever being in combat is quite low.

Actually dude's sentiments about why he's a Ranger Rigger is the same way why I liked bing a commo guy in the 112th and 3rd group. It was less bullshyt and a little more pride. In the 82nd (and I heard it was way worse in non divisional units @ Bragg) there's a lot of bullshyt and wining. I heard that dudes had to stand at attention for 2 hours because the Corps Commander was gonna come by and he never did. That was what it was like in division as a pogue. shyt like that didn't happen at group and there was more funding and even the FRG family groups were better. That's why I stayed.

Whatever you need to know the Army will teach you. I wanted to be an 25B (IT) but I got deployed and the window closed for re upping for that. I'll bet the security clearance is more important than what you do at least as a private. If I were you I'd try to go ARSOF to as an IT enabler. That's where the money is. walking out with a Top Secret clearance rather than a secret one makes all the difference. Go Airborne and PT with the dudes trying out for the Rangers even if you don't want to go to regiment. It will help you if you want to be an SF or military Inteligence enabler.

Needless to say I'm so unpatriotic I left the country. That being said don't go around saying "fukk america" You'll heard Black and especially white people saying something like this. You don't have to be fake but you also don't have to kick knowledge to nikkas from down south all the time either.

@All-Black the Necroverse

1. Are there any movies or television shows that accurately depict what basic training is like in the air force and or navy?

2. I have a stationary exercise bike I am using in my room to get in shape. How many minutes and how many days a week do I need to use it to be ready for basic training? I want to be the best conditioned person coming into air force basic training?

3. How do you graduate as an honor graduate from air force basic training?

1. AFAIK, no/none that I've seen. Again, BMT is very soft. As long as you aren't a complete fukk-up or a fat fukk you should be alright. BMT is exactly what it says on the can: basic. If BMT is something that you'd worry about, a military career might not be the way to go.

2. You need to be running. A stationary bike is cool for *additional* conditioning, but your primary method of getting in shape must be running. No other way around it. Running is free and doesn't require any equipment; either do it during the day, during lunch, before bed, or wake up early.

See my previous post about old fukkboy who never worked out before showing up; he got his ass booted out not even half-way through and won't ever be joining the armed services again. :mjlol:

Be smart enough to program computers but not smart enough to google BMT PT standards, brehs. :dead:

Standard BMT fare for running is like 25-30 minutes 3 times a week. A stationary bike won't be an option (they don't ask y'all if you want to run :comeon:) in BMT; there is no more bike test in the AF, and PT is such an easy way to get bounced, whether you're in BMT or AD. But to answer your question, 3x a week minimum for 25-30 minutes at whatever your heart rate for a 11:56-pace 1.5 mile run would be. Bike (and a stationary bike at that) only and you're gonna be in for a bad time.

3. Nobody will care if you get Honor Grad or not, but if you want it personal reasons, follow these simple rules:

1) Don't fail anything. PT evals, inspections, nothing.
2) Don't get in trouble. Getting washed back, multiple 341s pulled, etc is any easy way to get that dream nixed.
3) Don't be a Blue Falcon. fukking over your battle buddies won't make you look better to your MTIs; it just shows you're an a$$hole who can't be counted on to be a part of the team.
4) Do your detail well. Doesn't really matter what is it, just do a good job and try to do it quickly or thoroughly.

The people who get it are usually the people that just do their best and help the flt the most. YMMV.

what about being a loadmaster? Don't they get special Air crew pay?

Loads would get Flight Pay as a CEA, and go TDY a lot.

When TDY you still get your BAH and BAS, plus per diem and applicable meal and lodging allowances.

If deployed/TDY to certain places, you also get and combination of: tax exempt status, hazardous duty pay, family sep pay (if you have dependas), indirect fire pay.

Loads in certain units might also qualify for additional special duty pays.

Can you fukk a lot of women in the air force if you dont really have a lot of game and not that confident in general?

No. :hhh:

Nikkas that couldn't get p*ssy before won't get p*ssy while they're in, unless your attitude/game levels up. :mjlol:

Why would a broad wanna mess with a scary ass nikka when your battle buddies and/or Jody have a mouthpiece and can talk her pants off? Putting on a regular ass Air Force uniform won't turn your ass into Denzel.

Not to mention most bishes that chase uniforms want to fukk the Rangers/MARSOC/Marines/Green Berets/Seals/EOD/other operators.:umad:

David Goggins' Navy SEAL Workout and Diet - Eat.Move.Hack.
This is about top tier as it gets in the military.

You want to be honor graduate you have to be supremely confident.
That stationary bike throw it away, run miles for time, do push-ups and sit-ups until you can pass the fitness at basic.

What would you say are the easiest jobs in the air force? Paper pusher type jobs do they have?

Also, do all jobs in the air force pay the same?

All AFSCs pay out the same money at the same rank.*

*However, some AFSCs deploy/TDY more than others, and/or collect bonus pays on top of the basic entitlements (see base paychecks).

Edit: Also forgot to mention that some jobs have both enlistment and/or re-enlistment bonus/continuation pay, but the AFS's on the list are subject to frequently change.

Enlisted medical as a man is :scust: status. The jobs are usually cake but there's so much high school musical drama and baby stool-soft ass nikkas that it isn't even worth it.

Plus all them female medics wanna fukk the flyers and ST dudes. :umad:

I was considering medical before this post. What jobs are the best in your opinion?
