cotto stepping in hard with the jab was why pacquiao destroyed him. cotto gets his whole attack off that hard jab and pacquiao was feasting on it meaning there was no way cotto was going to win that fight. it took him about six or seven rounds to realize he didnt want to be in the same ring as manny pacquiao. if cotto fought pacquiao a hundred times he loses a hundred times and if cotto cant handle pacquiao at 147 handling sergio martinez up at 160 is something i just cannot see

Was Sergio ever on the level of a prime Manny:comeon:

And his jab was countered early on in the fight because of Manny's short height ducking under the jab, Cotto adjusted though, lets not pretend Cotto wasnt jabbing the shyt out of Manny in the later rounds with Manny having no answers on jelly legs might I add

Plus Sergio fight with his hands by his waist this wont come into effect

What late rounds were you watching? Manny was dominant in the late rounds of that fight with Cotto.
Manny didnt dominate shyt he had a few great rounds from 4-9, I cant say domination when you cant land shyt and you are begging Cotto to engage because his ear drum got busted by getting his head jabbed in

I felt Cotto was easily controlling Manny before the fluke knockdown, brutal fight on both ends, but no domination

You said later rounds...Cotto was getting beat down in the later rounds.
4-9 are the middle rounds of the fight. 10-12 was basically Manny beating the dogshyt out of Miguelito.

Those 4-9 rounds is where Manny did his damage, I felt Cotto easily won the rounds before the knockdown then the mid round onslaught, but lets not act like it was a Bhop Tito domination it was good back and forth scraps with Manny get the better, until Cotto decided to box...................

Why dont you post videos of this late round beat downs along with the frivolous stoppage if you disagree, I'll wait.........

A lot of the later rounds could have went either way cause Manny wasnt landing shyt, but hey he seems to be the only fighter that get praised for swinging at the air

Great Manny performance but no domination, he had a busted ear drum breh

Manny gets credited for swinging at air and looking like a complete fool so its hard to gauge his rounds, just see the JMM 3 and Tim Bradley match..............

Delvin Rodriguez was mightily impressed with the oomph on Miguel Cotto's left hook on Saturday night in Orlando, Fla. The Danbury, Conn.-based boxer, who also works as an analyst for ESPN and will be heading to Las Vegas this week to work the Timothy Bradley Jr.-Juan Manuel Marquez show, told me that Cotto's power surprised him.

I asked Rodriguez, who was TKO'd in Round 3 by the Puerto Rican future Hall of Famer, what he foresees occurring if a rumored showdown between Cotto and middleweight champion Sergio Martinez were to take place.

"That's a great fight," Rodriguez said. "Cotto is really strong, very determined. He could do a lot of damage because Martinez fights with his hands down." The fighter/analyst said he could see Martinez using his movement to good effect early, but getting broken down as the rounds progress.

So who would have his hand raised at the end of the night?

"Cotto would beat Martinez, definitely, in a close fight," Rodriguez said.

Learn nikkas, I be trying to teach yall, Rodriguez feels Cotto troubles Serg for the very same reasons:demonic:

JMM and Bradley both hit a lot of air in those fights vs Pac... you make it seem like Pac wasn't connecting on anything

pacquiao can be greater in a pound for pound framework but sergio put some big beatings on some very good middleweights that pacquiao would not have. thats a level cotto that has never been on. thats a depth he never swam. you got to bank everything on sergio being shot. thats the only chance cotto has. thats brave for cotto to gamble on that but thats also foolish in a lot of ways

Shut the fukk up really breh:comeon:

Every single fighter on Sergio weak ass resume Manny has a chance of beating, Sergio ran from Margarito who brutally ko'ed him, while Pacquaio ended his career

What good Middleweights has Sergio beat, I'll wait

He has ducked every single MW that posed him any threat, and please dont mention Chavez although Im a fan of his dont give a fukk attitude, the boxing public pretty much scratched him off as a unmotivated C class fighter

Im waiting though...........
