If they keep losing games to MS then you can see them losing ground in the future
360/PS3 era was close but they pulled ahead this past decade or so and got complacent

Sony was late on the online shyt, period. The OG X Box had online multiplayer when the PS2 was experimenting with that expensive ass modem. When the PS3/360 era came in, M$ was swag surfing on all the online options, when Sony was on basic online play.

Too late. Sony wanted to be the more efficient version of M$ from the PS3 onward, and abandoned Japan, while Nintendo smartened up with The Switch and took over Japan entirely over the past 5 years.

It was a major gamble when Sony wanted these big budget games like M$ at the cost of the Japanese market. Now, they are shrinking in 3rd party games and have (almost) nothing left.

Nintendo stood by their principles and still healthy for generations. Sony, not so much.
