When talking about the entire playstation community that’s not a lot.

Y’all act like everyone who’s even thinking about playing games is beholden to those games, they are not.

Remember this all started cause y’all said playstation having more exclusives means xbox should be unbuyable to a gamer. My only point is that Playstation exclusives aren’t even THAT important to playstation gamers, so obviously there’s a huge market of gamers who DGAF about those games:manny:
That's a BS argument and it needs to stop. PC community is huge and I don't see PC games selling for record breaking numbers. That means jack.

They have 26 now. They had 15 before they consumed ZeniMax. They could have built those 15 studios up organically while making smaller acquisitions to supplement their in-house teams. Instead, they chose to neglect their own studios to chase after large publishers. That strategy blew up in their face. It's why they're in the position they're in now.
Their goal is to stock a subscription service for games. You're still trying to put them in the conventional business model.

And no they're in this position because Balmer and Mattrick saw games not as it's own thing but as a means to an end for living room dominance outside of gaming.

Those loses gave birth to a different path though. There are 3 console makers and they each have different approaches now. That's good.

it begs the question of how do you really "protect innovation and choice in cloud gaming". these services have to secure contracts with existing publishers to have games

or maybe GeForce should organically grow their own COD competitor :troll:

At this point the cloud is just another avenue to access content you own or subscribe to elsewhere.

People don’t seem to have an appetite to buy and own cloud games on hardware they depend on a service provider to grant access to.

The CMA is just ensuring the status quo continues. There won’t be innovation in the cloud because the powers that be aren’t really interested in it like that. Unless a major company decides to push the cloud as something more it is unlikely to be much more than that.

M$ can still get games for gamepass. There is not a need for them to buy up every publisher or whatever to make it successful. They can still innovate

Phil Spencer with his “we want to spread gaming everywhere” meanwhile millions upon millions of gamers will be denied Starfield :mjlol:

YEP...all those future Bethesda games, FALLOUT 5/ELDER SCROLLS 6 straight to Xbox /PC. No playstation versions...so let isolate most playstation users around the world.:troll:

MS is just going to limit it’s future investments into the Uk or expect other concessions from the UK wrt their core businesses.

Gonna be interesting to see the long term ramifications of this decision.
