This wouldn’t make microsoft a monopoly. They’re in 3rd place by a good margin.
Gaming market is significantly smaller than TV/Film.
Call of Duty is a huge chunk of the market. There's no equivalent in the Movie/TV market. Not even Star Wars.

For the most part, when you talked about streaming movies, for years it was netflix and when you talked about streaming content it was and still is youtube.

Even with other services around most where only kinda pet projects.
The same can be said for gaming now, There are a ton of gaming publishers and over all companies that can jump into cloud gaming as soon as it's proven profitable and viable. I mean look at the Handheld market just as of last year till now.
So it's way more than just Nintendo, PS and Xbox. Google and Amazon can fail over and over until they get it right tencent could drop a console or streaming device. You really just don't know, the only company that has any kind of monoploy in gaming at all is the one that dominates the "high end gaming sector"

How exactly are they trying to be Nintendo or Playstation?And at it’s core the people love nintendo for their games. No getting around that fact. Mario is the biggest IP in the world right now and Zelda is about to win another GOTY. Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart continue to print money. 125m consoles sold.
Microsoft need to make good games that you can only play on their box/platforms. Stop trying to be playstation, stop trying to be nintendo. Be yourself
