I’m a political science & MBA guy. I don’t have a law background. But the FTC did horribly. I can’t see how anyone can back their work here as good.

I believe she gives her ruling next week the earliest is monday but that's unlikely.
edit: They can appeal, but they have a very short time to do that. Same for MS

nah, she said after July 4th. Monday is probably a holiday for them too, since the 4th is Tuesday
so basically this isn't the endthe FTC did a bad job, and I'm pretty sure they would lose their law suit. I'm just not sure where the bar is set to grant an injunction

if they get the injunction, MS would not be able to close the deal until after the actual law suit. this would push them past the deal's deadline, and they would at least have to renegotiate the deal
if they don't get the injunction, MS probably gonna close without waiting for the law suit. and the FTC loosing the injunction would also make it look like it would be a waste of time to even pursue the law suit
Objectively, I think the biggest hurdle the FTC has is they’re attempting to make a hyper nuanced argument about gaming where the fundamental party who would be harmed is Sony, who also happens to be the market leader here.
