I'm starting to think youring now but I'll try once more.
@ the bolded if poor black voices don't represent you than why are you in here talking about them? Middle/upper class blacks are doing just fine.
And excellence isn't about money or degrees, it is about being strong and powerful people.
Being strong and powerful people dont mean anything if you are just saying it and making any changes...anyone can say I want to be successful or want to have this or that business but how many actually take that plan of action to achieve it. Yeah and excellence isnt about money or degrees, but you just said the middle/upper class are doing just fine, exactly and thats why I like being in that class, makes my life easier
for me and my family....Sad thing is that I want my own to live just like me, but yet as usual the ones who do actually care about the people get bashed, like i said before Cosby and obama.
ing now but I'll try once more.

calling people lazy and opportunity squanderers doesn't help your people. What you can do for your people is to fight the conditions that create them. The bad behavior is learned behavior. People learn through actions, not words. Turning your nose up at people won't make them change. But hitting the streets and fighting for your people and showing them how to succeed will help them.

quote a post that said anything about the distribution of wealth or that money doesn't matter
do what they do while you keep moving up in life. reality is you cannot help people that dont want to help themselves...I was speaking to someone about this whole thread today and they told me dont even worry about it or take it personal, people will be the people they are and if they dont want out they will just stay in the struggle.
this has nothing of finding little success, or "selling out", or getting "rich and switch" like I been hearing year after year after year from the black community.
