:what: :deadhorse: :wow:
That headline is such bullsh!t.

That guy would have had to bash his head in daily for a sh!tty Com Arts degree. He already has a 50k+ following on YouTube. I'd bank on that experience before signing up for 4 years of concussion ball.

The biggest problem with black people is when we make it we act like everyone else that did not make it was just lazy.

The bigger problem is that we teach Black people to make excuses for their circumstances instead of teaching them how to make their circumstances work in their favor.

You can't tell them that sitting behind your computer in your nice middle class home. You have to go stand with them and get your hands dirty, which you just said you'd never do.

LOL.

Remind me of that when I have the letters M.D. after my name. :rudy:

You don't know me bruh.

I have parents who weren't born in the USA and I'm fully integrated in to the black american culture/way of life. I grew up with really diverse settings and I see things from all angles. And my connection to a BGO confirms that I've probably done more for the black community in terms of mentoring and advocacy than you can imagine.

Then again, you'd just shield them and tell them that they're not messing up by going into certain fields or that setting high goals isn't their main priority.

I tell the kids I mentor the truth. I don't tolerate their wacky shyt but I do cultivate the tools that will enable them to keep it real with themselves and where they want to be in life.

Lets see you do that.

I don't think any of those people are sellouts or toms. But I think you nikkas are. All of those people you named, not only challenge black people to do better, but they also go out and fight for us. They don't turn their nose up at underachieving blacks, they try to inspire them. You dudes in here are just talking to make yourselves feel superior to others.

That's how you take it. I've never looked down on anyone because I haven't even "made it" but my mindset about where I can go is a lot different than people who say they "can't make it" or it's impossible because of XYZ. I just don't think that way and it's not even in my best interest to fukk with people that think that way.

STOP TOLERATING BULLshyt.

PERIOD.

That includes bullshyt jobs. Bullshyt majors in school. Bullshyt career goals. Bullshyt outlooks.

I don't know WHY you want me to care so much about nikkas who ain't pulling their weight.

If I set high standards for them and they fail, they'll be farther than where they could have been anyways.

Its like you nikkas are scared to be told about yourselves.

I bet everyone who opposes anything i'm saying wants sympathy for underachieving in life.

No one said it'd be easy. Thats why the fight to the top is so much more glorious.

Now, I don't agree with the Obamas on everything and they fukk up a lot, but in terms of Success...they're the new standard. PERIOD.

No entertainer or athlete will come close to the impact they will have in this country and this is our mandate to show the rest of the country that after 8 years, Obama had SOME positive influence on this country.

Like I said, Its DO OR DIE for the black man and woman in America. You have until 2016.

but the biggest problem is nobody is tellin these lil nikkas this

they have no stardards cuz they older heads aint even got no standards

i agree wit what you said but it takes alot for a nikka to even understand this

its hard to completely understand a message unless you are seeing it everyday...being around it...discussin it....

its too many midsets for a young nikka to overcome if he aint been blessed with real nikkas in his family

so when he hear Obama say it...he gone be like man fukk that nikka i gotta do it
nikkas want success but they confused...hate to say it man....alot of em are lost they just need some motivation they can actually see and touch

so far all they see is rappers and ballers...but who fault is that tho?

lol tired of the same story I always hear for years, you are doing more harm by preaching it to your community, all that does is create more bitterness and anger towards thinking outside the box and the trickle down effect will go on to them and having them say the same bs just like how it was trickled down to you...You are ignorance dude:ufdup: this has nothing of finding little success, or "selling out", or getting "rich and switch" like I been hearing year after year after year from the black community.

This is incoherent. Not sure exactly what you are trying to say here.

Problem is I haven't heard anyone say "it's impossible" or they "can't make it" in this thread. That is a narrative y'all created in order to argue against it.

So being black and rich is consider Uncle Tom?:heh:

By the comments in this thread. You can tell that it's white people trolling or didn't grow up around any socially black community.

Dudes are just making up shytt now. If being black and rich is a Uncle Tom. Then why don't black people consider Magic Johnson, Will Smith and Spike Lee Uncle Toms? If Barack was consider an Uncle Tom, then why did he get over 92% of the black vote. Oh they for him because his black? Well if that true, then why black people was so against Herman Cain, Allen West, and Clarence Thomas?

naw i'd be lying if i was to say it aint no opportunity

its shyt out here for nikkas but like my original post said

nobody is puttin these lil nikkas on game on how to do shyt.....like at all bro...

how can you blame the youth for selling drugs, robbin, killin when thats all they know? they dont have older fam to put them on the hustle of shyt.....
after all.....america is a hustle in itself....

lolol if a lil nikka dont know how to put a dollar in his pocket without robbin,killin,stealin...what make you think he gone know how to apply for a job, or take classes, or do anything to better himself?

thats when pops, unc, big cuz,big homie supposed to step in and be like aye lil nikka this how you keep some money in yo pocket the legal way

but nowadays pops, unc, big homie tryna do the same dirt they is
these lil nikkas confused

thats why its gone be worse then previous generations by far
plus they zanned, leaned, viked up emotions all fukked up

its too easy nowadays to throw your life away compared to back then imo

I agree with everything you said homie. I accept responsibility and hold myself accountable to the highest levels. What the hell do I look like walking around blaming others for my non-success or failures? People walk around playing the blame game and dont try. The government is against us, we are in a white america, rah rah rah. Some nikkas act like guards with dogs are still chasin people away from schools and jobs.....

It is a system though, we all play by the same rules. If you get a felony you dont get student loans, this applies to everyone...now do blacks and minorites get arrested more or charged more...yeah. But they arent getting charged for being a minority and walking down the street on a sunny day. They have drugs or guns and get caught.

We cant sit around and blame white people when there are generations of nikkas 'on the block' or in jail rather than in school. Like every culture some of our people make bad decisions. Our culture sometimes cultivates or conditions bad decisions, like wanting our kids to play basketball or football. For whites and other cultures, its just a hobby, its about teamwork, socializing, exercising. Its also a privilege, if they are fukking up in school or at home they dont play. For some blacks its almost like a job for the child. Like they are relying on the kid to get signed.

:comeon: calling people lazy and opportunity squanderers doesn't help your people. What you can do for your people is to fight the conditions that create them. The bad behavior is learned behavior. People learn through actions, not words. Turning your nose up at people won't make them change. But hitting the streets and fighting for your people and showing them how to succeed will help them.

i agree with you. im seeing some posters blame whites and blame america and express their disgust with the system, but where are the solutions?

I know we cant change the group. There is no law or magic wand that is going to be waved that is going to get blacks out of jails, into schools, and clean up some of our negative images.

We cant change everyone, we can change individuals. We can be accountable, and responsible. i think we need to turn our backs on some of the dumb shyt, we take privileges as rights...nikkas are talking about old books and bad schools. its one thing if its one of those schools that you can youtube, where the teacher is reading the paper and the students are sitting there. but even with an old geometry book, english, science.....have the topics changed? Are there breakthroughs in these fields that required the old books to be burned and that new editions are a must? Or is it still possible to still learn the shyt, do the homework and be the smartest kid in the dumb class?

I wonder how many of these nikkas would starve to death. Its like when you have kids eating..."Heeeyy he got more than me!" Are you not going to eat at all then? Sometimes life is unfair. But you have to live your unfair life to the fullest.

Unfortunately the bolded is how a lot of our schools are run. I see it everyday. Kids that want to learn, but aren't being taught a damn thing.
