No he couldn't. Hip hop as a whole didn't give a damn about Mike jack in 96He could’ve done anything he wanted, this is Mike motherfukking Jack breh.

It was supposed to be a mixtape that was free. So how is that possible he wanted Mike on there?I'm starting to think people just be making up shyt now didn't Pac do this album in 3 days I'm sure that dude wasn't thinking about no Mike feature.
Yeah...you weren't of age in the mid 90'sMado

You know what's up. Took the words right out of my mouth l. I was actually gonna mention the 3T feature but didn't because of the family connection
I actually remember when that shyt came out, think it was called "why" and the video was black and white

Considering Makaveli wasn't meant for retail release and was going to be a mixtape it seems a bit odd that Pac would reach out to MJ for a feature as that goes against its whole anti AEOM, wack room beats, gritty, noncommercial aesthetic. For another project? Sure but even then Pac tended to use his tracks to help lesser knowns shine via their association with him as opposed to trend hopping or feature chasing.
Still, we don't know for sure but one thing I'm quite certain of is that since we entered the clout chasing era people have become a lot more liberal with their tales about Pac and some of them are verging on being of the duck variety.
Not saying thats the case here but virtually every single person ever saw him in hospital, virtually everyone was about to do a project with him and virtually everyone was his ace.
Having said that hearing MJ on Makaveli would've been and so unexpected whilst being in keeping with his own brand of duality.
If you're referencing the "wack room" producers, QDIII isn't part of that group. He produced on AEOM and did several joins with Pac around the time of 7 Day Theory recordings. He was also doing music for Fresh Prince and In The House during that period, and was somebody that knew MJ personally. He wasn't a nobody that would have had to sneak his way into presenting something to him
