I know that currently, but I HOPE there isn't a loophole that somehow allows him to get exonerated of the attempted murder and firing into a car if he gets acquitted at the retrial.

There was enough evidence of premediation and no evidence of Davis' having a gun. Accordingly we can assume that Dunn planned to fire into the vehicle, seeing that is what he did, and furthermore planned to continue firing, as that is what he did while Jordan's car was speeding away.

See how you said assume? The jury can't assume.

That's the slippery slope with murder 1.

Blame the prosecutors for consistently trying to OD with the charges..
