The gameplay was some of the smoothest I've ever experienced. Like, immaculate. The story was a mess, though. The game also had no reason to go open world. Terrific gameplay, but you can tell something went very wrong during development. It's all over the place narratively and structurally. I still enjoyed it for what it was and dont regret buying it.

An ending when Hideo uses up his budget with a dev cycle of almost a fukking decade thats what it is. Konami gave him the boot and had to wrap up it up like that
