:what:

I mean if you're going to comment on my post at least understand the perspective you're commenting on.

I don't have an issue with DEI.

My issue is with the numbers being produced with us as the face.

Make Asians the face of DEI and have Asians take all the DEI darts. They're the ones eating off the DEI wave. In that Meta report you see Black, Hispanic, Black, Black, Black.

With the numbers reported at the bottom, it needs to be Asian, Women, Asian, Asian, Asian.

The group making the smallest gains should not be the face of any movement. The group with the largest gains should not be able to duck the DEI label. That shyt begins to look like propaganda and useful stupidity to just let the shyt rock like that. I'll be happy being the face of the DEI movement when I see the 6-7% gains in company representation that the Asians get. If you got an issue with folks wanting more in exchange for the social cost of being the face of the DEI movement. :camby:
:what:I never commented on your post.

This the most muted I've seen black people been on this type of stuff in a decade. The big 4 tech definitely have curated or muted black thought.
:jbhmm:only within the companies if any of these people have any fight in them they can still make noise I think:patrice::lupe:

I re-read your post and it's a prime example. Doesn't matter how many black people it helped. Asians were able to eat at some companies too, so let's burn it all down. epitome of hustling backwards
It's exactly why I had to clarify. You don't understand the perspectives you're talking about at all.

If you're black and have skills, this won't affect you.

This is disingenuous. Skills will always matter once you move around in the industry.

Dei initiatives are all about pathways. I haven't personally benefited from a dei program but it offers a Segway to industry that non whites, non east and south Asians who either are ignorant of or actively discriminated against for such technology and other high paying roles

what is the perspective that I'm not understanding? your post boils down to the current state of DEI not being perfectly designed to solely benefit black people so you're cool with eliminating it all together. this is hustling backwards

Nope. My post very clearly states I have an issue with black folks going out our way/allowing ourselves to be made the face of this movement when all the numbers are pointing to Asians being the primary benefactor.

You don't know what you're reading and just made that other goofy shyt up.

Right wingers do that.

On purpose. They associate these sort of iniatives with black people because they know it will trigger a stronger negative emotion within their intended audience
