Perfect time to finally support your local small businesses. The more you support them, the more they’ll be able to provide added/better goods and services. A lot of us aren’t realizing that detaching from this tangle web of dependency is a big part of what will help us overcome what might be the most wealthy oligarchy America has ever seen.
We should consider ourselves colonized by corporate interests. So you’ve gotta try to squeeze them with boycotts and other radical actions. Crying and doing a few marches ain’t moving the needle. They ultra wealthy are very predatory and they know the American public is an overly comfortable, easily distracted, gluttonous mess that fears the very notion of pushing back against a system that feeds its hopelessness with instant access to their desires or the perception of someday having access to them. We put the wrong value on the wrong things and act surprised when we end up down this road. Perhaps this is one of America’s inherent design flaws.
