Cord cutting definitely has to do with the ratings no matter what Meltzer says. He's the king of wrestling media but hes also 57 and you cant tell anyone his age shyt. You dont think its feasible for someone to cancel their cable, maintain their high speed internet package and a couple of subscription services? (netflix,hulu,wwe network)?? Someone could easily get tired of paying hundreds per month in cable, but watch all the good stuff on YouTube and continue following the product the exact same.

Hes saying that the ratings metric is based on the percentage of people whi have USA Network. Hes not disagreeig with you that people are switching to online streams.
He said on WOR yesterday that WWE is clearly running off fans. That may or may not be the case, but we have to look beyond ratings to figure that out. People in the threads think of ratings falling to mean that WWE is going to be cancelled by USA, which will never happen. Especially not before 2019.

Combine the lifelong fans who will always watch some way or another with an enabler in USA who won't drop them any time soon because there's absolutely no alternative to garner viewers for the network and you get a WWE that is not motivated to do anything different.

When you add in the shytty booking from WWE creative plus guys who really have no character, what's the point of watching every week?
This place sometimes. People complain week after week about vanilla midgets and bland indy wrestlers killing the ratings but can only point out 3 wrestlers. And another person listed mostly WWE developmental guys.
