This place sometimes. People complain week after week about vanilla midgets and bland indy wrestlers killing the ratings but can only point out 3 wrestlers. And another person listed mostly WWE developmental guys.
And then on top of that, they want to de-push people that are actually over. Sure Rollins is boring as shyt right now but he's somehow still over. Zayn is over and (one of the best wrestlers on the roster) and Owens stay getting reactions

The thing is that we don't have any numbers for segments anymore. Someone getting cheered at shows doesn't mean their segments pull in big numbers or sell tons of merchandise. Wrestlers are bland these days. Most of them don't even have gimmicks. Just first and last names with maybe a nickname. The wrestling boom happened due to how over the top it was and the larger than life personalities. The company is just coasting these days and doesn't even try.

Cord cutting excuse was always bullshyt. Live sporting events are the only thing on TV getting ratings and attracting advertising. That's why the NBA could command such huge figures for TV rights. The WWE product is pure shyt right now. Creative is stale. You got no stars. Champions are a part timer who hasn't been seen in months and an Indian Jobber. Even the good workers aren't motivated. Who wants to watch this crap?
