Bo Dallas, Cesaro, Hawkins, Curtis Axel, Darren Young, Zayn, Balor, Mojo, Dillinger, Ryder and most of the 205 guys.
I get most of them aren't "indie" per se but that's just a handful of bland guys who are perhaps great in the ring, but nothing else.
But just my opinion
Bo Dallas, Cesaro, Hawkins, Curtis Axel, Darren Young, Zayn, Balor, Mojo, Dillinger, Ryder and most of the 205 guys.

Cesaro
He's been a disappointment.Bo Dallas, Hawkins, Axel, Mojo, Darren Young, Dillinger, and Ryder weren't indy stars.
Zayn is one of the most over guys on the roster.
Balor is over as well and was marketable over in Japan, NXT, and WWE.
How many of the 205 guys have gotten any character development or even consistent air time?
A lot of those "bland" guys that you mentioned were WWE developmental talents so the indies obviously aren't to blame.

It's super interesting too, cause it feels like there's been a civil war of sorts with the smark/online community.
I mean, this is the type of direction people begged for not too long ago.
And now that we've gotten it..... a growing chunk is like
While another section descends even further into extreme smark land. Taking over shows, no push for characters or anything other than workrate and vanilla midgets.

Samoa joe . great wrestler. But he aint got nothin else about him.
They bring back the hardys and made them one of the most boring things of raw.
Face sheamus or cesaro every week and win.

Kevin Owens is one of the most entertaining guys in combat sports breh. He doesnt belong.

Those are the people single–handedly killing the company? And 2 of them are on the show with ratings that are improving.Only Rollins could be considered bland. Zayn and Owens have charisma and connect with crowds.
Majority of the roster is bland and boring, the entire product is bland and boring
How many guys in the roster has 'ever' gotten a superstar reaction? Sami Zayn has.
