Offenses are just doing a better job at taking advantage of defenses with small LBs and DTs designed to stop the pass(Dallas Cowboys for example) and are just running the ball over them little nikkas. Just a cycle, defenses eventually will just get bigger again but slower to stop the run.

I agree it might also force colleges to change finally I’m tired of these gimmicky offenses lol. Hell you can even use the qb in the run game more but you gotta force those coordinators to bring 7-8 in the box

College teams are going to run those offenses either out of necessity (Navy,Army,Air Force), maximizing what they can get out of average talent ( Hawaii,BYU), or cause they have elite athletes (Oklahoma,Oregon)

It's all cylical, nothing is new, and everything comes back around. Been watching the NFL for over 40 years, it's still just football

It's what makes the sport so great.

You can't be heavyweight and lightweight.

I'll say the most dominant thing in the league right now though is an enormous, athletic OL like the Lions have. That's a factor no matter if your team is run or pass heavy. Big Offensive Lines frustrate defenses.

What fukking safety or cornerback can do anything about this when these offensive linemen break the 2nd level?
