taylor swift and ed sheran are POP artists, which is why I brought their names up
thats what I mean with people like you, everything is a racial pissing contest
you can't even think in terms of music, when someone brings up an artist, you only see their race :dead:
black genocide this, black genocide that
people like you don't have an endgame, nor do you look forwards or backwards
so after a bunch of armchair activists bully black entertainers into being mouthpieces for a black hivemind, then what? Do all rappers have to get their music evaluated by a "black community" board? What happens when angry people are still being violent and sad people are still using drugs? Do they only deserve special attention when rap doesn't exist?

You are so off topic..but I will entertain you

We are having a discussion about black genocide music (which meek mills promotes)and his admitted reluctance on promoting political awareness messages in his music due to him being afraid for his life, versus him not being afraid of the effects of his music and somehow you feel there is a mossad contigent that bully black entertainers into mouth pieces for political awareness? :what:

Can you tell me which black entertainers have been bullied into black political awareness?

Black entertainers are quicker to get bullied and forced into the support of the gay rights agenda than "black political awareness" :patrice:

What world are you living in to view black upliftment as a chore? :beli:

The community cant be fixed until there's a MAJOR MENTAL OVERHAUL 1st. If you cant comprehend that concept you're a lost cause. :yeshrug:NO change can ever occur without 1st a change in ones MINDSTATE. That goes for the biggest revolutions throughout history, to a woman finally leaving her abusive boyfriend, on down to a kid finally standing up to his bully. A "change" in the black community will have to start with a mass change of consciousness in our community. Whats "cool" today like ignorance, killing other black ppl and giving all of our money to other communities will have to be a deemed a hinderance to the progression of the black community. Instead, unity, intelligence, supporting one another and the concept of keeping our money circulating within the community will have to become "cool". I dont understand whats so hard to grasp about what im saying
so you think blacks are as inept and unable to run their own lives without some shallow attempt at brainwashing

you're always talking about white supremacy but you act like blacks are just as helpless and brainless as they think we are :stopitslime:

So why didn't you go out, buy a sword and stab a few dudes up? Why didn't you grab a bostaff and start hitting nikkas over the head with it? Why didn't you go to school in a turtle costume everyday, live in the sewers, and fight crime at night?

.

The fact that i LITERALLY wanted to be a ninja turtle is the point. Hold up, are u denying that kids are impressionable? And i see that you edited the post to NOT include the part where i mentioned "parental guidance" which would obliterate your questions about why a kid wouldnt go out and do certain things:patrice:

Yet, rap music has never been as ignorant as it is today and black crime has never been lower. There is no greater time to be black in America than in 2015.

If we go back to when rap was at its most conscious, blacks were catching the most hell. Being clipped and killed at the highest rates. Crack cocaine was literally destroying whole blocks while dudes were blasting The Message. Cats standing outside, running 24/7 open-air drug markets with Public Enemy blasting on the bloc.

And before that, whole cities were being decimated while cats were reciting Marvin Gaye lyrics.

Y'all keep ignoring data in order to shape a narrative that fits your narrow-minded view. Again, your arguments are actually just as racist as any white supremacist talking point.

You really want me to sit here, celebrate and be content with the murder rate being down while prison industry continues to boom ?

I get it, i get it, so the murder rates are down so we can fill the current quota of genocide music cuz it is better than what it was...

Let me know when the murder rate and genocide music quota reaches the "concerned"threshold so that I have a legit gripe in you eyes to complain and discuss it :ld:

:dwillhuh: I'll never understand this site's obsession with getting black celebs to speak on these issues, knowing damn well whatever they say won't be adequate enough.

The reason he won't talk politics is dumb, and the fact that he won't speak on them but will gladly talk about clapping nikkas and shyt is definitely wack.

But do y'all really want to hear political commentary from Meek Mill? :why:

You're so naive:snoop:

This "shallow attempt at brainwashing" has been happening since slavery days.

Tell me, how do u think millions upon millions of slaves were kept in check and made to be subservient and docile for generations? Ill tell you son: brainwashing & conditioning.

You cant control a mass group of people without gaining control of their minds, and this is exactly what happened during slavery.

Have u ever heard this quote by Harriet Tubman: "i could have freed 1000 more slaves if only they KNEW they were slaves".

Slaves were actually conditioned to the point where they didnt want to leave the plantation.

Keep thinking its "just entertainment". Best believe that the J*ws and white supremist that control it dont view it that way

sigh...

I understand not wanting to talk about political shyt on a big detailed level. He may not feel he's qualified. But to not speak about ANYTHING because you're afraid the government is gonna get you? While you peddle ignorance and go to jail for dumb shyt? fukkouttahere man. Not everyone has to do a To Pimp A Butterfly but dog...you can't have a couple songs about the struggle?

I have no respect for Meek. The Drake fiasco was the first step, this is the last one.

That's all he had to say. He didn't want to humble himself and admit he's not well versed and ignorant to political issues.

they killed 2pac for speaking on real issues, they killed eazy e after gaining too much power trolling cacs in the white house and being the founder/leader of the group that made fukk the police and blamed it on aids

they killed mlk, they killed malcolm x.. stay woke
Don't lump in 2pac and Eazy-E with MLK and Malcolm.

2pac got killed trying to be a YG at 25 and fukking with real killer Orlando Anderson. He spoke on some real issues here and there, more than other mainstream rappers at the time, but it was overshadowed by the rest of his music which in the last year of his life that revolved around the Eastcoast/Westcoast war, slandering other black artists, as well as drugs and gang life.
Eazy-E died of AIDS because he was highly promiscuous having sex with groupies and random women without using protection. He even was on radio, I think the Howard Stern show, saying he didn't use protection. He was invited to the White House because he donated money to some organization that helped children and it was linked to some fundraiser for George H.W. Bush I think.
