i been sayin for about 3 years now that they should have X-Men off the ground by now. The fact that they don't have a cast/script/director etc. is crazy.
We not gonna get an X-Men movie until 2026 at the earliest

The post Endgame story/saga should have been Avengers vs X-MEN.
They ALREADY have actors for the X-MEN on the table for that.
Instead they're putting out filler like the new Thor and Eternals

Nah I don't think they'll do it in the movies. X-men 97 is supposed to pick right up and continue from the OG series finale. I think they'll do a loose adapatation in that show well before they progess into a live action crossover.

to everyone wondering why the x-men haven't happened yet.
the fox/disney merger didn't complete until march 2019 meaning they didn't have the full rights to the x-men until then. The earliest they could've made a movie was in 2022 but what do you do for the next 3 years. just not have any marvel content? Yeah Endgame was a great bookend but Disney wasn't going to let marvel do that so the best case scenario is to use what you can and see if you can recreate the same magic like you did the first time with unknown characters.
then you combine this with the fact that Fox KILLED the x-men movie brand completely with apolocylpse and dark phoenix( a movie that came out in 2019) so you have to make sure to distance yourself from that trash as much as possible so that the average audience member looks at it with fresh eyes/
then combine this with covid which pushed back every production and this is where we're at now.
with all that said marvel killed it

Nobody is thinking X-Men movie should be out or even filming.. What everyone is waiting on is NEWS. You knew you were trying to get them back, you mean you had no plan in place if you did? You got them in 2019... Nobody around the office wants to drop a hint as to what's coming? As I said, they just put them in a movie. What's now their flagship franchise next to Thor... Still no explanation or plan given..
So like others are saying.. If they went to cast it right this second, we wouldn't get a movie until 2026 and they aren't casting today. So fans are looking towards 10 years after you get the rights before we get a full on X-Men movie... Maybe longer?

he told everyone in 2019 you won't see x-men until phase 5 at the least so why would he say anything else until he was ready. All you had to know was yeah they're coming and we're working on them but it'll take time.

i think he changed the roadmap completely due to covid and Chadwick's passing so this new announcement he's teasing might be what you're looking for
but I think x-men aren't coming until 24-25
