That's what they get for leading off with fukking Shang Chi :mjlol:

Did they think that mf was gonna be the next Iron man or something?
Should have led with Thor...then Dr Strange...then Spiderman....then Antman...and then you try and ease people into Wack ass Shang chi and polarizing ass Eternals..... They should have lead with familiar faces and franchises that spun off directly from Endgame.....the roll out has been all wrong in my opinion.....Im not gonna even mention forgettable ass black widow... which released at a bad time not just because of covid but because the story needed to be told BEFORE infinity war....or the trainwreck that black Panther 2 is shaping up to be....this phase has been all over the place and I'm glad it's causing concern...

When other studios are afforded that luxury of "being close" then it'd be a more nuanced discussion.. but since people wanna do the context matters posts then i'm just replying as to put things in the proper context.

in the proper context i'd say it definitely underperformed but not quite a flop. Eternals was a flop.

No..it is a real discussion that veered off because someone wanted to turn it around into something else but the facts are still that industry insiders expected well over a billion and Disney wanted it to be more than a sequel.. they wanted a Civil War event for it.. that's what they budgeted for.

Was it a flop? The word would probably be 'underperform' but Eternals did flop no way around that so here we are discussing Phase 4 and why it's not up to Marvel's usual high standard.

Dr Strange 2 made $950 million

Marvel Announcing their future at comic con this year. Im sure Fantastic 4, Dr Doom, X Men, Deadpool, Blade and more coming up.

It's Not even that, I'm posting as a fan who hasn't missed a marvel flick since Iron Man.

So yes, I saw all those movies I mentioned


And I no longer feel it's "Must See" anymore.... I'll catch em' when I catch em':manny:
