to everyone wondering why the x-men haven't happened yet.

the fox/disney merger didn't complete until march 2019 meaning they didn't have the full rights to the x-men until then. The earliest they could've made a movie was in 2022 but what do you do for the next 3 years. just not have any marvel content? Yeah Endgame was a great bookend but Disney wasn't going to let marvel do that so the best case scenario is to use what you can and see if you can recreate the same magic like you did the first time with unknown characters.

then you combine this with the fact that Fox KILLED the x-men movie brand completely with apolocylpse and dark phoenix( a movie that came out in 2019) so you have to make sure to distance yourself from that trash as much as possible so that the average audience member looks at it with fresh eyes/

then combine this with covid which pushed back every production and this is where we're at now.

with all that said marvel killed it

Great point. They just got it + covid. You’ve had damn near 15 years to see they don’t rush shyt out, they actually plan things.

People complaining about X-men are at minimum nit picking and at most, just doing the usually film room hating/contrarian routine.

i been sayin for about 3 years now that they should have X-Men off the ground by now. The fact that they don't have a cast/script/director etc. is crazy.

It's frustrating. Maybe it's impatience on my part too, but I remember confidently saying in another thread, "If they can shoehorn Spider-man into the MCU quickly then they can do the same to the X-Men." I know the Disney/Fox merger only happened in 2019, but I figured we'd get an MCU X-Men film by 2024/25 at the latest, but it really is starting to look like it might be 2026 now.

which is why they're making that x-men cartoon as a start.
As for Agatha, I don't get it either but it might be a setup for a scarlet witch film.

he told everyone in 2019 you won't see x-men until phase 5 at the least so why would he say anything else until he was ready. All you had to know was yeah they're coming and we're working on them but it'll take time.

i think he changed the roadmap completely due to covid and Chadwick's passing so this new announcement he's teasing might be what you're looking for
but I think x-men aren't coming until 24-25

I guess people are just impatient because of Phase 4.. If Phase 4 was worth a damn, we wouldn't be clamoring for it to be over and to hurry up and get to the mutants... We are down to C and D list characters and they got Jordan waiting in the locker room. Talking bout "we gonna play him in the 4th quarter"... Nah y'all need them in the game NOW coach.. This gameplan ain't it

• X-men movie (Prof X ,Cyclopes, Rouge, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Storm, Gambit, Iceman and Beast)
• Dr Doom Solo movie , let him go against Mephisto to free his mother from hell.
• Fantastic Four with Franklin and Valeria in the mix too
• Peter Parker with Miles Morales styling on nikkas
• Secret Wars

Just giving you reasons why they aren't following your wishes. Also, I'm pretty sure they work on them a lot before announcing them. The work on a property doesn't start with the announcement.

It all goes back to the OP for me. Phase 4 sucks TO ME. We got a half a good show and two good movies, one being a Sony movie too.

If better content was out, people wouldn’t care. We on D list characters breh. It’s making people say “ok wrap this shyt up and let’s get back to the A team”

That's fine, everyone doesn't have to like Phase 4. But that's what they are doing, you are going to have to wait.
Is there a limit to how long you would wait for mutants in the MCU? Like if they wait until 2030 will you be like. "Nevermind."
