If you gun nuts put 'right to life' before your beloved 'right to bear arms', fewer people would die.

Crazy people will find ways to get guns or other weapons to hurt a lot of people. This country is so attached to guns that there will ALWAYS be an underground market for banned/hard to get weapons. A ban won't work. Also the suspect worked in security so he had easier access to weapons compared to a regular person.

People saying this will help Trump, not so fast. There will be a STRONG liberal movement, this will be huge and it's also another opportunity to go at stricter gun laws.

If a massacre of innocent children in Newtown didn't push this government to pass stricter gun laws then this won't change much. At this point the only gun laws can get passed is if the Democrats get a super majority in Congress. Republicans will control the House even if Hillary wins the white house and the Dems get the Senate.
