I'd also like to add that it's only really pandering if they make her infallible. That's the shyt I hate. If your underrepresented character is presented as some sort of righteous, do-no-wrong type then there's really no point.

They ALL will be back. Which is the plan.
1. Push legacy characters for a bit, or until sales start dropping.
2. Promote "return" of old characters in a story involving the new characters.
3. Old characters get their mantle back, and new characters are now well-known and are viable characters for Marvel to use in the future if needed.
If they do it right, its a win / win in the long run. Marvel gets their new characters poppin, they get their old characters poppin again, and they make a lot of money along the way.

For example; I'm just not feeling (but support) Cyborg, Sam Wilson and Black Panther as of right now.
I haven't checked out the last two Miles Morales runs, either.

He never really paid the price after the first Civil War..he was damn near an international super villain with all the $hit he was doing while Captain America was dead. And I'm not sure how he sounds in a Marvel book these days...what was the Doom pic about though?

I got a lot of reservations about Bendis...he brought down and buried Wanda Maximoff to push the New Avengers line back in 2004-05. I thought that was bull$hit...and I damn sure wasn't interested in reading Spider-Man and Wolverine as Avengers."Pandering"? I didn't hear you guys say anything about Sam or Miles Morales?was that pandering then?
It's gotten cacs mad so, although admittedly I am not a fan of Bendis at all.

Hate the way Marvel and DC announces stuff like this in hopes of getting mainstream media attention.
Also hate the "passing the mantle" in Marvel and DC unless it's organic with the story.
