It was?!??

Maybe it just looked so wack from the previews especially coming off how dope Blade 2 was.
Sure was, matter of fact it had the most vampires ash burn killings than the first two.

Daredevil is gonna be trash and you and I both know it. Unless it is a 9 episode arc spread over the same year (May and then December).

If Moon Knight was on Netflix rated R it would have been some twisted, psychotic shyt but instead we got that weirdo shyt show.

Ghost Rider, Blade. STOP RE-DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER WITH THE SAME STALE JOKES.

X-Men needs

Dennis Villeneuve
Doug Liman
Joseph Kosinski
Alex Garland

But b/c they stifle creativity we will get something that reeks of mediocrity.

For Blade, why they won't hire actual directors who handle hand-to-hand combat well blows my mind. Passing on the John Wick director or not calling Gareth Evans means all wire work and CGI. How you can make a PG-13 vampire killer movie is all you need to know.
honestly, Michael Giacchino kinda killed it with Werewolf. let him try Blade... but you're right. they need to get some big directors on board and let them cook for once... big directors who aren't completely past their prime like Sam Raimi

they need to condense all of this into Midnight Sons, b/c i want to see Oscar Isaac again, but Moon Knight is a bottom 5 MCU project. i don't care what anyone says. that shyt fukkin sucked. you throw him in a movie and we probably get a lot more good suited action.

Echo seemed like it was just that - a way to appease the "representation" people while basically just giving us Daredevil and Kingpin. now with Born Again being announced with like 18 episodes, we're all gonna get sick of Daredevil. guaranteed.
:russ: Moon knight was so trash lol. And you had them MCU stans. Eating that shyt up. Oscar Isaac did his thing tho. But they turned my boy Moon Kinight. Into a PG-13 bumbling idiot. Especially after Feige lied, and said the show. Would be more in line with Netflix’s Daredevil. Also who is asking for an Echo, and Agatha show.

The Agatha actress did a good job on the show but who wants a solo series ?

might get some hate here, but i think "Oscar Isaac did his thing" the same way "Jonathan Majors was the best part of Antman." both are great actors in other work who got the love b/c... fukk, there just wasn't much else to hype up. The Steven character on Moonknight was annoying as fukk. just b/c the dude played 2 roles doesn't mean he was amazing. that entire show basically sucked top to bottom, which is crazy b/c on paper it was easily one of the best potential projects

It's a shame Snipes doesn't get the props he deserves when it comes to Blade. He brought in his stunt/fight team and designed the weapons (Sword & Bladerang, etc.). Blade's coolness and swag are all Snipes; even the original sunglasses that Blade wore were Black Flys, a brand that Snipes wore. On top of that, his star power at the time initially got people in their seats to check the first movie. He was also an executive producer. He would put the other producers, directors, and writers in check. Marvel comics started making the comic version mimic more like the Snipes version.

People are trying to downplay his contributions while they prop up David Goyer. When the first two movies did well, you didn't hear much of Snipes being a method actor and would stay the Blade character during most of the shooting. Kevin Feige was only a producer on the 3rd Blade movie, a tragedy due to Ryan Reynolds and Goyer, but Snipes took the fall for it. Ryan Reynolds has stated he would never want to work with Snipes again. But you see, now Kevin Feige is all over Ryan Reynolds with Deadpool, and this is one of the reasons why Marvel decided to go with a Blade reboot because there were talks between Marvel & Snipes at one point to have him play Blade again.

I've despised ryan reynolds since blade 3 and this post made me despise him even more somehow

I agree I can't stand the dude, but he got mad pull in Hollywood, and people like that type of humor he brings in his movies, it's been played out since Blade Tragedy.

You got people saying Snipes is too old to play the part or he had his time already, but as you can see now with Deadpool 3, they got Hugh Jackman and now Patrick Stewart, but nobody says a thing about that. MCU forgot back in 1998 nobody was taking Marvel films seriously until Blade 1 came out. But they can't give the man flowers or acknowledge his contributions like others who have done way less than Snipes since he was the stepping stone.

The best thing they can do with Blade would be to do a nice 40-50 million dollar flick, make it rated "R" and make it Candyman/John Wick/Vampires. It does not need to involve the end of the world. Make it small, let him go down his own path and run into other folks in his realm.

It should literally be like a modern day "Castlevania".

Snipes is only 6 years older than Jackman too.

They need to stop letting social media drive their decisions.

If the cast wasn't ready to do BP2 without Chadwick, then wait a few more years to do so. THEY DID NOT HAVE TO MAKE THE MOVIE AT THE TIME. If the cast didn't want to do it after a few more years, then recast.

One of my major points in my recast T'Challa argument was if you retire the character on impulse... the implication is no more T'Challa until... 2033? Or whenever you reboot the entire mcu. For a character that seemed to have next after Tony Stark, it seemed a bit short-sided to bush him so soon if he was that integral to their big picture plan... assuming there was a plan.

But now you hear more fan grumblings that Marvel just seems to be winging it, on impulse. Even the Blade stuff, for years Snipes updated fans that he'd meet with Marvel with ideas and they'd just hand-waive him away like "we'll get back to you". Ali fresh off a big award win comes to Marvel and all of a sudden their game (to capitalize off the attention).. but it always seemed like a cart before the horse situation.

they had zero plans for this, but Marhershala approached them saying he wanted to play Blade and they fast tracked it. it's obious. nothing about Blade fit into the current MCU. they probably had a meeting with him and pitched some roles and he just said, "nah, i wanna be Blade."

I'd bet they offered him some race-bent roles on some Wonder Man, Heimdall, or Kang ish but he was like nah. Hell, Blue Marvel and Dr Voodoo collecting dust still. Tho in a fukked up way maybe that's for the better given the current state.

i'm concerned. Still no positive news from this.... Blade one of my all-time favorites :francis:

I really don’t understand it. Blade should be viewed as a priority, and the character already has proven success. Well actually I do understand it, he’s black so it’s always some funny shyt.:snoop:

They want to create all this bullshyt when you got a character like Blade, who can hold it down while they’re preparing for f4/x-men in the future.
