"After the apparent death of Reed, Susan becomes a capable leader. Susan keeps searching for Reed, feeling he is still alive, despite romantic advances from her old flame, Namor the Sub-Mariner. The Fantastic Four eventually rescue the time-displaced Reed, who finds himself temporarily losing confidence in his leadership skills, since Susan is also a capable leader."

It’s comical how wrong these mother fukkers always are :heh:

This is one storyline. If we're using that logic we might as well make T'Challa or Scott Lang the leader and put Storm She Hullk or Luke Cage on the team rather than Thing or Torch

I forgot how much breh looks like Kimbo Slice.

I'm not worried about a female herald. Galactus has plenty to choose from. Just to reiterate my point, I don't care about tough female characters. There's dozens, if not hundreds to choose from in Marvel. Write good stories and this whole problem goes away. We accepted Infinity War the movie and it was only about 5% of what was in the comic...we accepted it because it was a good story.

If you can't write good stories, why are you deviating so much from what has already been established as popular in the comics?

It's hard writing consistently good stories, I think anyone will attest to that, but Marvel's track record is one that has never been seen before up until Endgame. And now Disney is going away from what worked. The crazy thing that Disney/Marvel is doing is, they are deviating from the core of characters and sidelining the few popular characters left.
  • Black Panther didn't have T'Challa. Shuri had this instantaneous transition to Black Panther, when she has been his Q to her James Bond.
  • Strange, who made no qualms about killing half the universe to ultimately save the universe, suddenly has a random change of heart to save people who have no meaning to him.
  • Thor, is not Thor. That's really all that needs to be said.
  • Fury got his eyeball sliced up by a cat. Not even a Flurkin...but the fukking cat.
  • Wanda is fawning over imaginary kids, that she knows are imaginary.
  • Kang, the next big bad guy for now, was basically neutralized by ants.
  • Blade is being rewritten multiple times. We ALL know why.
  • And now Reed might be sidelined as leader.
I'm sorry, if you can't see that these are INCREDIBLY BAD narrative choices, you're really just driven by an agenda and not good storytelling...you're ultimately an ideologue.

These films are being written by people who 1. don't respect the source material, 2. rather push an agenda then tell a good story.

You can do both, but it's better to lead with a good story...and if you can't do that, just leave the source material as is, it's that fukking simple.

Yeah.. so this is probably decades after the creation and all the adventures before.. it’s a storyline

So this how they want to begin this Marvel universe version of the FF4? Making Reed a apprehensive second character

OP wasn't using any logic. He said it NEVER happened.

we might as well make T'Challa or Scott Lang the leader and put Storm She Hullk or Luke Cage on the team rather than Thing or Torch

it's not. she was leader in FF 261 when reed went missing leading up to his trial for saving galactus.

sue was shifted from the invisible girl to the invisible woman by john byrne.

in doing so he made her far more assertive and the most powerful member of the FF.

wikipedia: "It has been said on numerous occasions, including by the Fantastic Four's greatest opponent, Doctor Doom, that Susan Storm is the most powerful member of the quartet and one of the few beings able to rupture the shell of a Celestial"

in FF 280 - 281 sue trashes the FF all by herself.

it is a shame that modern gender politics is getting in the way of remaining true to the spirit of the comics.

both byrne and claremont (pivotal marvel collaborators) wrote strong females who were often more powerful than the men.

it didn't matter though because it was done right.

sue storm - most powerful FF

the women on the x-men had most of the cosmic/celestial powers - storm, polaris, phoenix, rachel, binary, illyana. even rogue and psylocke.

callisto was leader of the morlocks. destiny leader of the brotherhood. white queen / selene leaders in the hellfire club.

:hubie:

all of those were done under different leadership.

iger and feige are cleaning house now.

productions have been shifted around and cancelled.

they have spoken of a need for creatives to be in charge (again).

they have spoken of a need for more quality and fewer releases.

daniel being moved off avengers 5 is a good thing.

cap 4 directors change is also positive.

they need to get the russos and favreau back ...

sue was moved to effective co-leader with her own opinion and the most powerful powers.

So this how they want to begin this Marvel universe version of the FF4? Making Reed a apprehensive second character

reed doesn't have to be apprehensive for sue to be assertive.

they separated in the comics.

they both left the team because they could no longer work together.

-

put another way ripley being tough in aliens didn't mean that the marines had to be weak.

vasquez being tough didn't mean drake had to be soft.

hicks didn't want to take the limelight but he was brave, professional and tough enough to make the hard decisions.

Well the comic fans usually complain about the "progressive" changes
That's because some of them are forced and transparent as fukk

Example? There is nothing that ever suggested Iceman was gay and they made him gay despite Marvel and the X-Men in general having LGBTQ representation already.

It’s still just a Storyline in a long history of storylines..

And Hicks was also dead in all those sequals. They way they probably planned the entire series
