If the rumour is true, then I wouldn't mind that so much. Galactus has had plenty of Heralds. One of his heralds was a woman named Frankie Raye who was imbued with the power cosmic to become 'Nova'.

They also take them for granted, which on one hand is understandable but still. The idea is white nerd dudes (and casual dudes) are gonna see this shyt no matter what, so you need to bring in as many women as possible to maximize $$$. The problem is that these white nerd dudes are actually skipping a lot of the movies now, or only seeing it once instead of 3-5 times. Casual dudes are peeping the movies but not enough to matter. Meanwhile a few women come but not enough to matter either, so you end up with flops like The Marvels.
The problem for Disney is they won't simply accept basic facts. Sure women like seeing women representation on screen. But women are more interested in seeing attractive male actors on screen, and whatever romantic shyt that entails. They are far less interested in this weird trope a lot of movies have today where the main guy is socially retarded or odd or whatever else makes him dismissive to the main woman actor/character. And given the massive success of Barbie you'd think studios would have gotten the message. Women want balanced, fully formed women characters on screen...and they want to see hot dudes on screen too (pause). Marvel has zero interest in created fully formed women or minority characters though, they just want to throw some generic stereotypes together with quips ("if you want a job done, send a woman to do it"). That's not what anyone wants to see, outside of the weirdo Twitter army who defends this shyt.

Co-leader at times maybe, very important person in the grand scheme of things, but arguably just the mom to the dad of them all.
So unless they find some young, hungry, looking for his big break type of actor thats can act decent but desperate… or a seasoned actor that doesn’t mind not being in the leading role for once (which, being as open-minded and great in supporting roles as Pedro is) they’re gonna have a tough go at it. Especially if the script/movie bombs.

It may not be cartoonishly bad, but I could easily see them characterizing Reed as a nerd for laughs since it's consistent with Marvels comedy.
The MCU is supposedly dead, but any and every rumor is getting a thread and people are fully engaged in talking about a "dead" brand.
