He's a writer who had a storied run in the Fantastic Four comic from which, Mr. Fantastic (real name Reed Richards) came from. He's noted before that Mr. Fantastic was his favorite character growing up (which is probably why there is so much Reed-wank in that comic - I say this as a fan of Mr. Fantastic as well).
