So how bane is killed ia a huge deal to disney stans, but ronan being defeated by a dance off is somehow not worth talking about and doesnt matter.

Bane was facing the door that somehow Batman's loud batpod Catwoman stealthily rode up on and shot him.

Ronan got distracted by some silliness and clearly INTENTIONAL SILLINESS to give Rocket and Drax more time to create that weapon to shoot him with!

Let's just think about this for a moment, the team was already fukked up, Ronan was on the verge of destroying the planet killing billions, Quill who is NO WHERE NEAR AS STRONG AS DRAX (who already caught them major Beats by Ronan) had no weapon and time for a real strategy other than buying a few more seconds, Groot was done, Gamorra was in no position to fight, and again as mentioned Drax and Rocket needed time to create and ready the weapon that was strong enough to destroy moons.

What is there really to discuss or talk about?:sas2:

Disney stans fight tooth and nail to prop up mediocre sitcoms.

the idea that ronan the accuser would do anything but destroy the planet if quill started dancing. Dude was drunk with the power of the inifnity gem but nah, let me stop destroying these billions of people as I begin to take on thanos to ask what this random human is doing. :upsetfavre:

the sheer concept of that happening is ridiculous. now, within the slapstick Gaurdians of the Galaxy Universe; i get it. but in that same voice, the idea that bane could be distracted to his death is reasonable too considering he's a brute that can get tricked / outsmarted / manipulated

What comic book movies from the past 20 years have had great villains? Because outside of The Joker I'm not seeing this trend of great villains that Marvel alone fails to live up to.

Fred.
Great is not the benchmark Marvel is failing to meet with their villains though. I would be OK with just good or even average. Their villains suck outside of Loki.

To be fair it's not really Marvels fault. Some of the best villains in the history of comic books at least when I was growing up were X-Men villains. Mister Sinister,Apoc,Magneto,Sabertooth these are goat level antagonist that Marvel can't get their hands on.
That is bullshyt.
Deacon Frost is about as D level a villain as you can get but he was a fully formed character in Blade.
Marvel's problem with villains is that they don't make them as fully fleshed out characters in their own right as the heroes are. All of the Iron Man villains are interchangeable businessmen in nice suits. The one time they looked to be on the right track with a villain they decided to make a hard left and play the character for jokes.
Hate Man of Steel all you want but Zod was a good villain.
Both Magnetos are good villains.
Doc Octopus was a good villain.
Hell, The Motherfukker was a better developed villain in the Kick-Ass movies than anyone outside of Loki has been in all of these Marvel flicks.

If the villains were so terrible....or hell, if this was even a factor for most people, the movies wouldn't be as successful as they are. And I don't just mean box office, I mean critically.

"GoTG" is a prime example. $200+ mill, a 92% on Rottentomatoes.com, 40+ page thread on this very board raving about how good it is....and here's a 4 page thread focusing on how bad Ronan is. It's like....uh, ok? :yeshrug:

Dude that is some old 1+1=3 logic.
Got to RT and look at the reviews for these movies. they get praised for all the things they do right but you will be hard pressed to find anyone heaping praise on the villains. More often than not you will find positive reviews that take the time to point out how underwhelming the villains are.

I notice you ignored the rest of my post.

So why is it well received here then, outside of a handful of people? It seems to me if this is such a blatant, glaringly obvious flaw more people would be on board with that particular criticism. The whole board is Marvel stans?

I don't understand why it's so hard for you cats to accept you have a minority opinion. It's not as if any of us are quoting you talking about "fukk that, let me explain why Marvel villains are awesome!". The general mood from our side is :manny: while anyone that isn't on board with that complaint gets labeled as a Marvel stan.
