Kinda confused what you're talking about. The "Peter Parker gets bitten by a radio active spider and turns into Spider-Man" is
the go-to origin story for the character in film, dating all the way back to the 1977 made for TV movie. It's been used twice in the past 12 years for 2 separate major motion picture versions of the Spider-Man origin, because again, Columbia Pictures doesn't want to lose the rights.
So what does saying "You know there's a handful of versions of spiderman right?" have to do with anything? They didn't spent millions of dollars to obtain the rights so they can launch a Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, or an even more obscure Spider-Man, series. They're gonna stick to Peter Parker/Aunt May/Uncle Ben, the same origin, and more or less the same template for the character they've been using the last 30+ years.
