Nothing about RDJ's redemption has to do with the content of his movies, breh. That's like saying Stranger Things inspired you because of how it got Winona Ryder back from being know as a has been shoplifter. Or Mr. Robot was inspirational for giving Christian Slater a second chance. Or Dallas Buyer's Club/True Detective inspired you because of Matthew McConaughey's resurgence.
No doubt. It's gonna be hard for a comic book movie to inspire me, honestly. Black Panther didn't inspire me, but it was a great moment for the culture, tho.I'm inspired like a mf by all those things you just listed
I got more “depth” and “meaning” out of Black Panther than ANY Scorsese or Coppola flick of the past 10 years.
And the BONUS was I didn’t hear the word ****** said not ONCE in the entire movie!
Who woulda thought
To each his own I'm just sick of Marvel films though. A lot of the MCU films feel the same.

I would hope a dude this far in the game has more classics than the new dudes. That said, I don't see any of my favorite "young" directors delving into the cbm realm. I mean, whose the best director making post-Nolan cbms? Wan?Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan Among Directors Launching "Filmmaker Mode" TV Setting
Like I said, he's most likely your favorite director's favorite director......
Hold on to the past? Martin got more classics total than any of these ''new'' revolutionary directors
The Irishman has not even premiered to the public yet dumbassYou know the funniest part about this is that Scorcese talking about the MCU generates more attention than the film he just made. There’s are a handful of Irishman threads that go on for maybe 6 pages across 3 threads.
I don’t really have a point to make, but I find it hilarious.

Low key just being consistent with what they said 20 years ago and what turned out to be true.
How did I forget Coogler?I have to let Reeves actually drop his Batman flick before I consider him someone doing cbms.Wan, Coogler, Reeves come to mind. Most of the directors are assembly line status
