I don't think "fatigue" is real. I think the "honeymoon" phase is over, and you have to put out a good movie. The cheat code ran out. Especially for women. I think trash ass Captain Marvel killed it.

yeah, captain marvel was when I saw that we couldn't just critique the female-led movies.
it's a c-movie and didn't deserve the billion dollars is made.

Joker is different, because him braking up with Harley opens the floodgates. And he can’t be that much of a bogeyman, if Black Mask is making all these moves to take over the Gotham City underworld. Harley also isn’t small time. She may have killed Robin. Or at least helped out. Batman is going to make time for her. Plus he patrols every night. He’s also going after small time crooks. He doesn’t discriminate between big and small time. The general safety of Gotham, and stopping other Joe Chills, is the mission and it never ends. And to repeat myself, she blew up a major chemical plant. That has all kinds of implications. So he should have at least been mentioned.

In the movie Harley outright right to Black Mask that he fears the Joker. Everyone did which was why she had immunity.

But it's still GOTHAM. Criminals rule that city. Joker isn't going to prevent any other criminal to do their thing just as long it's not interfering with whatever Joker has going bnb on.

Their biggest mistake was making it R-rated instead of PG-13. Parents would have brought their kids regardless of quality.

The past R-rated comic book movies ALL hit... Deadpool, Logan and especially Joker. The R-rating has nothing to do with it.

I will say this, and I admit I was wrong in thinking people would see it because it's Harley Quinn, but WB did drop the ball in holding out the EMBARGO until a day before the release. Having it scheduled just a day before the release of the film showed they had little confidence in the movie and many people caught onto that and that elevated a bad word of mouth onto this movie well before its release.

Typical a movie that receives generally positive reviews tend to do good at the box office. But it's hard to know if it's good when the reviews are at the last minute.

CM dropped over a year ago and there have been a few comic book movies since then.

The failure or success of BOP have nothing to do with that movie

I really didn't like this at all, but it was well made. I find Harleys character grating, so I checked out pretty early. The other chicks were ok, but they weren't the focus. It just wasn't my cup of tea, but it wasn't made for nonfans like me. I can still appreciate how much care went into creating a comic book come to life character. They did a great job with the fight chores too.

She's known to be quite vexing

There wasn't any shaky cam..... and that big set piece was long continuous cuts which was a bit impressive of how it was choreographed. I think you mean when the camera moved from one character to another character with all that was going on at the same time. But that wasn't shaky came or even quick cuts... that was long continuous cut with the camera moving from character to character.

AND wide shots, so you could see it all
