A breh in the anime thread posted "the series is called SOLO Leveling for a reason" and since then it really hit me that I shouldn't expect anything but fukkery from that show so I don't get disappointed by it :pachaha:
mashle prolly faced more hardships than this nikka :mjlol: if this what we doing these animation studios can make bank just working their employees to death to make sure the animation is buttery

also just finished reading invincible, author made sure everyone had random moments of absurd selfishness to keep the plot cooking :laff: superhero version of a VH1 reality show

When Mark was exiled for "decades" for the 2nd time I was like ":dwillhuh: :martin: but why though". You could tell Kirkman had nothing left by that point and was just stretching the story. I still think the ending was really well done. For every miss, there was an immediate hit that pulled me back in, I always appreciated that from Invincible -that and the themes it tackles throughout the story-, flaws and all.

Yea I'm not rolling with making people shytty as good writing, that shtick got played out super quick in this story for me :russell: I refuse to give these writers grace when they're literally just doing the same trick over and over, the overwhelming majority of the cast were a$$holes and kept doing each other foul :mjlol: Mark gotta be the WOAT decision maker in the history of comics.

Still watching for the mindless action similar to Solo Leveling tho :francis:

As Moi and his fight with Ran continued, Ran's motivations are deeper than one would expect. Of course, one in his position would want to die, but given the fact he didn't want to pass the immortality on to his child shows he is a good person just fighting on the wrong side. Still, bringing back his mom wouldn't solve the problem, but as Moi's points out, he would want to see his mom. More than likely, Ran has been such a loner that he isn't Intune with his emotions. Still good team work with Nemu and Momochi allows Moi to stick the rose into Ran, which should have been victory, but sadly this was all part of the plan by Ran's leader.

We are introduced to the Forest Witch Shikimi. Though he is the one who wants to bring back Jura, but why? His idea to wear down Nico's familiars made sense. Though we have never seen Nico use offensive magic. Most of her spells have been more on the support side. I wonder if this is intentional? With Moi getting shot, the only way for Nico to save him was to use Witch Recovery. This is the first spell that Nico showed us and what could mean more to Nico then Moi. What about all of her time with Moi because she loses all the time she had with him? The cruel part is for Moi he realized his feelings for Nico and now this gets thrown at him.

In a weird way, Nico is temporarily safe. Though Shikimi still aims to bring back Jura. For the other warlocks, they were just used and thrown aside by Shikimi. It illustrates the differences between how the familiars are for Nico and Moi because they want to be there for them. The friendship and bond has been forged.

At this point, the series transitions the genres pretty interesting. From a RomCom → Action → Gag Comedy. It also feels very natural with Nico as the centerpiece. I do think consider Moi understanding his feelings for Nico finally really will give him that extra push to get all of her magic and time back. Though I am expecting not until we get past into 220-250 chapter to progress to the next part of the story.

Kind of creepy that the Clock Keepers take anyone who changed the past and binds them to the boundary. Now this could imply that this cat is Amane because there is history to suggest that he would be one who tried to change the past. In fact, that this is a part of his soul before he became Hanako in the old timeline. A lot seems like Hanako, but we never got a handle on whom the real Tsukasa is? As the apparition is what we mostly see from him before. Even more so it would make more sense to lock Tsukasa given they went back to change the past. Plus, even if the school mysteries don't exist, that Tsukasa came because of a rumor; thus it makes sense for it to be a pure apparition created by Amane.

Overall great chapter. We got the ending of the subplot between Nene and her dad. Well, she can't be completely honest, but her point of the next time you will see me on TV is her saying that I am 100% focused in on this. Plus really sweet with how she wants them to be together through the end. I like it as their friendship with each other is as important as Arisu is to them.

For Rikka her blushing in finding out Shinobu didn't kiss him was gold. Tbh the fact she even said I love you to begin with was shocking. Though it wouldn't be her without messing with Arisu a bit. Her multiple choice was basically giving her all the reasons with none of them being wrong. Will be fun to see how Arisu follows up with that.

On a final note, the more I see Lemon the more I wonder how the hell she ever got hired to be a teacher xD.

Witch Watch - Volume 16: Given the fact that all the other familiars are guys, Ban makes for a nice introduction as a woman in the house to help with the current child Nico is a big help. At the same time though, she very much fits in with the guys and doesn't disrupt the flow of this being a gag comedy. Also, getting to see the real Fran and honestly, once the anime reaches this point, if it gets a S3, you can really feel the difference between the robot Fran and the real one given she should have a more cute voice. Though damn Kenta, showing Nico aged back to her original age temporarily like that really hits in the feels :mjcry:. Especially given how Nico wanted to see santa and here we have Moi's Christmas wish coming true even if it lasted only a second.

Tbh the story in Sakamoto Days has been shakey since the Museum Arc ended. The action and fights are still top-notch, but story wise :francis:

Ichi the Witch - Chapter 26: More than likely, the sadness that it absorbs is some form of magic. Though once it fills enough is where it gets concerning. Of course, Ichi and Gokuraku going to stir shyt next chapter.

Akane-banshi - Chapter 150: It's a given at this point Issho keeps pushing Akane, and she keeps responding back. It does feel that he wants her to get to the level more likely than not. Though the key is learning 3 stories, one of which Shomei won't teach her. Also, curious why the 3rd story wasn't given to us.

Outstanding fight between Tokiyuki and Fubuki, but given that he acknowledges Tokiyuki I think this implies this is the true Fubuki. Though more than likely, the hunger he was feeling before was his greed. Though his past from what he mentions of his sister and father sounds terrifying.

As we know, those that bear the enchanted blades are regarded as heroes. However, when peace was attempted to be signed the Sword Master got in the way. Essentially, it sounds like he got corrupted by the Shinuchi and that nations that went to war were obliterated. For Samura his concern is the fact that separating the Shinuchi and Sword Master doesn't execute the possibility Malediction can happen again. For most of Kamunabi it makes sense they are fine with what is currently presented because losing all the sword bearers is concerning. Samura's goal has to be killing the sword master while I think Yura aims to use him to stir chaos.

What he do? I don't remember...
2 more chapters came out...
He lost the war with Pareia but Triquel had to sacrifice himself in the process. So, Luna gets the blame for killing Triquel. I don't know if it'd still stand, but Shubeon has an agreement with Luna that if Luna loses a battle, Shubeon will kill him.

Also, Luna's just kind of a dikk.

Lucia's previous rank was given from what I have seen. But man seeing Klin step in like that felt satisfying. As you can only imagine how people talking about Leo's dad as a hero as something that hurt Leo. The idea of moving on properly, and you can't even get that. Which makes sense why Leo would rather get business taken care of sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor is quite interesting. Being against punishment and violence. More sos the latter given his position.

Just started The Begining After the End since people compared the light novels to Jobless and that may be one of the best stories I've read that in the manga/animation world

Starts off Jobless Reincarnation style so I'm on board until this character gets older and I can see where the real plot is (unless it truly is like Jobless and the story is simply following the MC's life)

Already got separated from his reincarnated parents

Already got blessed by a magical beast

Already ran into a random princess he saved and they want to train him since he's fukking 4-5 years old and already clapping adults with 0 hesitation :dead:

Korean brehs really be out here making webtoons off of already popular manga :laff: there's clearly a war between the two countries about who can adapt these light novels the best
