i love how Fuji can give us a simple but layered look into where denji's headspace is that also lets us know what kinda themes to expect

Caught up with Tengoku Daymakyou and this shyt is dope as hell

All the little callbacks and foreshadowing work so well within a fairly simple story. I'm not sure the author will be able to stick the landing as shyt can get Gainax/Trigger levels of "it's aliens~!" fukkery but I'll enjoy the ride for as long as this lasts because so far, it's pretty damn great

Starting reading Dark Gathering and I am hooking just off the first 3 chapters. It's supernatural and horror but it doesn't rely on that. Cast has a lot of charm to it. I am actually really impressed with the art. That will be incredibly tough for the anime to replicate.

Still wrapping my head around everything. First we got Yayoi whos mother basically died in some freakish accident. But it seems like more so her essence was sucked out? For such a young kid damn. We got the more traditional MC in Keitarou. Basically unlike Yayoi who deters cursed spirits, Kei attracts them. This feels like a weird twist of fate. But the dynamic with these two is great and adorable at the same time.

Kei's child hood friend Eiko is reallllllly interesting here. After Kei gets cursed she is the one who helps him overcome his demons and finally stop being a shut in. But later we found that the friend who was cursed alongside Kei was in fact Eiko. We now get Yayoi wanting to free Kei's curse, but it does feel the story will push Kei wanting to free whatever Eiko's curse is. I imagine more regarding this happens starting next chapter.

Oshi no Ko - Aqua and Ruby finally know who each others past lives were. I honestly thought they would BS it and have Aqua keep it to himself, I’m glad Aka didn’t go that route. Guessing Ruby will not hate Aqua anymore

I didn't liked how late Aka started giving Ruby proper focus. But this was good even with it being foreshadowed that the siblings would make up in vol 1. Unless something weird happens next chapter this small arc in the big movie arc has been one of my favorites in a good while. Prob since Tokyo Blade in all honestly.

Even when Ruby got attention early on, it always seemed apparent that Kana was the focus. Which is still weird af even when watching the anime.

Then after Tokyo Blade you had the sudden shift for Ruby from 100% pure to having those dark stars it's like I get the development, but it just happens so suddenly.

I am hoping S2 adds anime original content so it is less of an issue in the anime.
