Glad you're all caught up, it's been interesting getting your take on the progression arc by arc. For the most part I agree with you, Maki is tied with Gojo and Yuta for best characters in the series. I would have had Yuji or Nobara but their character arcs are still incomplete which detracts from their overall depth.Had extra time to binge the rest of JJK's chapters.
Prob still need to digest some of this stuff. The strongest points of this series is definitely fights since shyt is always crazy and characterization & development of the characters. Maki is easily the best character in the series to me. They execute all her arcs (which seems about done) beautifully. Yuji is a very solid MC. Lots of good stuff here.
- Hikari's Domain on some other shyt. It's essentially gambling so is his fights it be like oh damn my luck has already run out sike. Fun characters but his fights be on some stupid bullshyt. Very entertaining nonetheless.
[*]Maki's fight in the culling game fighting alongside was basically her unlocking the true Toji level. Which is dope as hell to see. Tho her facing off against Naoya while cool in the sense that Maki finally truly becomes Toji against him. But can this fukker just die already
[*]I liked Yuta's fights the most it was a great showcase of his strength. Good twists nothing to complain.
[*]Yuki and Choso's fight against Kenjaku was definitely a ride to be had. Tho damn how tf did Kenjaku survive that is beyond me.
[*]Now the moment Megumi is saved by Hana and meets up with Yuji is where the pacing becomes a lil too much. I guess the culling games results as an L once Yuki dies and loses to Kenjaku. Plot was advancing like crazy. I legit thought Sukuna and his plans wouldn't start moving until Kenjaku would be dealt with. That surprised me.
[*]Now it all adds up why Sukuna wanted to keep Megumi alive. Basically as a sorcerer he is much stronger then Yuji who has the physical strengths, which isn't something we see Sukuna use much. Also it allows him to be in control essentially. And he really went out to broke the kid. Great twist that I didn't see coming.
[*]Poor Megumi just the shock alone of his sister being used by Yorozu but his body kills her being possessed by Sukuna,
[*]Now we got Gojo vs Sukuna. This was def planned to happen from the start.
[*]You still got Kenjaku around spurring shyt while Gojo and Sukuna fight it off. Interesting how the rest of the gang goes out. You got Yuji, Maki,Yuta, Hikari and others still around.
[*]Now the culling games won't end until Sukuna and Kenjaku are the only two left. You also have the merging of non sorcerers with Tengen. Goal for them is to stop the culling games, but the need to kill the game master. Guess we need to see more.
Weak point for is story and lore. While the fights be entertaining AF, I'll be honestly I be forgetting what most of this cursed energy and how it works. Only two things I know Gojo is easily the strongest and reverse cursed energy can heal somehow.
The story in the latest arc is very overwhelming. It keeps adding more and more to the plate at some point its taken. It's not bullshyt cause I can barely connect the dots together, but I imagine for the average reader they must be thinking wtf is happening now lol.
I give Gege credit for taking that big swing with the Culling Games and trying to get outside the box, the industry needs that type of risk taking to keep from recycling like it is currently. I think he just made it a little too convoluted and lost a chunk of his base in the process though.

What I do like about Yuji is that when you think about outside of being insanely physically talented he worked hard to get where he is now. You have some interesting things happened to both Todo and Choso that affect his fights with them. But he feels pretty honest as an Mc all things considered.
I'll be honest when I think of the big 3 + Gojo its Yuji, Megumi and Maki. In the goodwill event Maki massively outshined her. Shibuya arc and the Death Painting fight with Choso's younger brothers are the two times she really had some solid moments. But overall her death was meant more as something to push Yuji forward. Which really hasn't been effective as Gege thought it would be. There was still a lot of good things they setup with her on the otherhand and honest Nanami death was enough of a push for Yuji. Nobra's death was just extra and honestly keeping her around would have been more beneficial.
Culling Games is weird in the sense that it starts a lil slow, which is more then expected. I guess it is more so when Sukuna finally makes his move it takes the current status of the culling games and fukking puts it into madness. Unlike the transition from Shibuya to culling games it was a clear transition. With Sukana doing his thing def feels like a new arc, but at the same time culling games is still going on. So it will be interesting how he goes forward after the fight.
Even with the story being convoluted it still gives you great fights and really awesome characters especially considering the standards for Shounen. Whenever the anime gets to a S3 they gotta take their time because this arc really needs you to pay attention when reading to connect the dots.
I am ready to see Toji animated. The Gojo's backstory arc is my favorite arc

Kill Blue Ch. 8 - Really weird chapter. Not bad. But like the antagonist how is introduced here is weird af.
Nue's Exorcist ch. 5 - This shyt sucks, I should probably drop it.
Do Retry Ch. 6 - A lot of the stuff in this chapter I licked. But the ending to the chapter felt too gimmicky. Mother fukker punch him like he is min min
Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins Ch. 28 - So now we got the mom behind the drugging him from interfering with the dream. Lets be honest you can't predict anything from this manga.
Girlfriend gives me Goosebumps Ch.5 - This Mc really about to make his Yandere gf do some real messed up shyt and it is def intentional.

I read the first two chapters of this it's really weird. The male lead seems kinda foul.Author of Kaguya and Oshi no Ko has a new rom-com manga. Decent first chapter. Most of it was good, but the end of the chapter felt really really weird in terms of tone.
