So here we get more Eiko focus. On one hand we see that Kei trying to find himself and trying to improve himself. Tho you start seeing that Eiko stalking him basically giving off some flags popping up. Where she is does dearly love Kei, but she has an obsession with the occult. But in this case it was a good thing for Kei.

The camping out between the 3 of them was more to set up Kei and Eiko. Where we see Eiko opens up slightly to Kei. Which leads Kei with the certainty that he wants to protect Eiko. Eiko gets caught up in the trap for Kei. The big here we learn that these spirits can gang up in groups/gatherings. It is clear when a group together they are more powerful. But Yayoi defeating them leads to have the other sprits gang up on the one possessing Eiko.

After all that Kei has more certainty that he wants to be there to protect Eiko like Yayoi is doing. However the issue now is that Eiko has been planning all this. Once she has noticed Yayoi's interest in the cult. Bringing Yayoi and Kei together. Even the incident that lead her and Kei cursed, granted that is more harder to believe. The opinion of Eiko is more uncertain now is her thing just the thrill? I can't discount yet if her feelings for Kei are genuine or not.

Lastly we learn of the ghost that Yayoi is hunting she calls it Kuubiou

I love the complexity and the chess match atmosphere as they keep one upping each other. Nobody else can follow this up unless they go in a completely different direction.

Dark Gathering Vol 3

So in Ch. 8 we get to see for the first time a ghost having a decoy fake the capture while they go off and do whatever they like doing. Lucky Yayoi realized something was up. Yayoi may look like a cute kid, but she will fukk you up

The rest of this volume centered around Ai-chan. Introduction had her tripping over nothing showcasing bad luck . But in truth there is 2 ghosts. The plot twist here is that the other ghost was protecting Ai from the ghost of the brother. But we do later learn from Ai that God would take/kill her in 4 years

The word god mostly showcasing its strength compared to the other ghosts and spirits we have seen so far. But then trying to leave they encounter a spirit trying to take Kei's brain .Him and Yayoi had to take of the ghost, but hes been doing that to all these people all this time. And would have happened to Ai if not for that god spirit. Those ghosts having their revenge looking brutal. Also Ai having an affect on that ghost causing him to live forever and be hurt in a never ending cycle. This god is ruthless damn.

Looks like now it is a showdown with the Lolicon God in volume 4. I

Series does a great job at keeping you on your toes so far.

Dark Gathering Vol 4

So now it is about preparing to fight against that God ghost. So essentially they need to recruit other graduates. Which are basically high level ghost thinking of it simply. Another terminology brought in here was Burnei, where the soul basically splits. It makes the original one weaker tho.

During the situation you had to deal with this new high level ghost, but also the ghost that Yayoi brought out to use. Utilizing these graduate ghosts is definetly a risk given what happens in this episode. And given the mental damage Yayoi and Kei suffered they barely came unscathed. Legit if Kei doesn't scream Yayoi's name both of them are dead. These high level ghosts are no joke.

At the end of it they were able to recruit a high level ghost and interesting enough it isn't evil it was just tormented. The end of the volume teases that there are people who intentionally doing it so that aspect makes it really intriguing. Now they are off to an even more dangerous area poor Kei.

Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister feels like Quintessential Quintuplets. Makes since because the author was an assistant on that. It’s less like it than Cafe Terrace and its Goddesses which also had an author assistant on QQ and also feels like it.

Edit: read the first two chapters. Seems a bit far fetched but I'll continue it. If you wrote a really good screenplay you'd want to get that to a studio with a budget. A bunch of kids aren't going to be able to do that justice. It's a manga so I'll suspend disbelief and see where it goes.

Dark Gathering Vol 5

Damn this volume was fukking intense

Basically before they went to the new S haunted spot they needed to pick up a graduate that Yayoi was training. And it was pretty standard Kei was used as the bait and Eiko was able to sneak past and get the graduate.

The Old Tunnel F chapters were fukking intense . Eiko what seems to be swapped out of sorts. So basically they had the fake body with Yayoi and Kei while she was on her own with the ghost perhaps luring her deeper in? At one point she realizes she is screwed. Didn't know if the home girl was gona make it. On a seperate note I do wonder how this will affect her going forward. Naturally it would make sense for her wanting to experience that most likely?

Kei and Yayoi are able to rescue Eiko. And eventually were able to use the immortal graduate against the Old Tunnel F ghost. The main thing here is the immortal basically increases his range each time he attacks if I remember correctly. Yayoi made the some good calculations and luckily the 3 of them were able to get outside of the range.

They were able to capture this Old Tunnel Ghost. And Yayoi is a savage. He is willing to use any ghost to help him rescue his mom. (Or perhaps allow her to be at peace if there is better solution). He basically cucked that ghost from being able to kill and would only be used as a substitute.

Dark Gathering Vol 6

Kei was a minor character as it focused more so on Yayoi and Eiko as Kei was recovering. This volume basically answered the question regarding Ekio's resolve. It is clear that her passion is clear as day. She is scared but it is still something she wants to push forward. It is nice of Yayoi to tell her she is the same. Giving her the confidence that her family will always be with her.

The ghost that was "friends" with Eiko tries to deal with her, but Yayoi is able to prevent anything bad in happening. Yayoi gives Eiko full reigns what to with that ghost that they captured. It seems she is trying to make her be a substitute that can recover infinitely?

Their main thing was getting a place to house their graduates. Which makes sense to minimize their risk. But unfortunately they aren't exactly making money to buy a place. So they see a house that was haunted and fukk is this place messed up. The father by accident kills the mother. The daughter listens to rumors and makes a baby with the father and to kill it so it can house Angel-sama. Which I assume is a big time ghost in the making.

What eventually happens is the daughter and a police officer both failed to give birth since Angel-Sama is able to go inside the body to force the pregnacy. Which it does to Eiko . Poor girl. Luckily Yayoi is prepared and tortures angel-sama while it was in Eiko. But they had to take care of the remains of Angel-sama. These girls are lucky to survive, but luckily they got the graduate house.

Eiko and Yayoi after visiting Kei are off to pickup more graduates. In the mean time we see the ghost Kuubo fighting a god ghost and winning. So basically its getting stronger in the meantime. You have the God ghost that they need to save from Ai. shyt is getting more and more damn intense.
