My work has already said they'll be super flexible about WFH moving forward. I'll probably request to only go into the office T-Th. Really that's only because I have my own office and feel like I need to make use of it.

I go into the office at least once a week but my job stressful asf. Ima contract specialist in the ship repair field. We have unlimited OT for my ship but we get so much work that comes thru whereas it affects how much time I have for other shyt. I don't even have enough time to do my DAU certification classes. I also am a caregiver for my older parents who have illnesses.

why only once a week? what's your title?

Administrative Officer. Federal employee.

I go in a couple of days every 2-3 weeks when I need wet signatures on something.

I’m more productive when I work from home. I don’t have to do the “water cooler” socializing and can just focus on work. My job keeps me pretty busy so i can’t nap away the time like some in here are able to do. But I love the flexibility it gives me when I do have some personal things at home to take care of.

I'm in 4 days for the next couple of weeks (I was 4 days pre-pandemic)

After about a month, my boss said I can drop to just 3 days a week which is cool I guess :aicmon:
We start going back after labor day. At first it was 1 day in office 4 days telework. They changed it last week to 2 days in office, 3 days telework.

They already talking about "full normalcy" which means no telework smh. I've been trying to leave but no luck so far.

Company sent a very specifically worded email saying we have til Friday to “apply” for the WFH forever exemption but you have to explain in detail why you don’t wanna come back.

the plan to come back will have us in the office 2-3 days a week. Of course they want people back since they own the fukking skyscraper :russ: but folks are already resisting like a motherfukka

on the exemption form you can claim medical reasons or some shyt like your role simply doesn’t need you to be there, among other things.

My “reason” was going to be Covid PTSD :mjlol: but somehow that may not be enough. Thankfully the union is getting involved for that extra layer of fukkery and just seeing how people are moving in NY, Rona should be on schedule to land (again) sometime in the fall.

And I welcome it :ehh:

The greatest thing about working from home is the fukking. I was fukking decent enough before Covid but now that I'm working from home I can just invite chick's over fukk and work right after.

My production for the company has went up every month of the 14 month's I've been working from home.

I truly don't understand it

If you a military veteran make sure you use a disability angle to work from home if it’s a option to where you need a good reason. You have protected rights. Non veterans too...You can finesse it in all types of ways. I just did it last week. If you have atleast a 10% disability, you are a protected class amd they can’t fire you if there are accommodations that are offered to employees and they deny yours with that reasoning....No more crackers walking over to my desk greeting me and asking dumbass questions. :pacspit:
We working from home this way now :smoker:
and I get to spend more time with the fam :lawd:
