Thread needs upped again. I know my workplace can't be the only one that basically just pumpfaked coming back to the office. :mjlol:
Just got that email about the delta resurgence.

September return date has been canceled. There are no plans for the remainder of the year. We will continue to follow the CDC guidelines and update as we know more.

I went to the office last week and picked up 2 additional monitors and took my standing desk home

My wfh brehs, y’all still good? :myman:

Still working from the house until further notice. I can go in whenever I want, but the general guideline is you've gotta wear a mask at all times in the building. I don't really have an issue with wearing a mask, but if my options are to do that, or stay home and debate over whether I actually feel like putting a shirt on or not, I'm always taking the latter option.

Still getting my multitask on. Just got done putting together three batches of bloody mary mix for this weekend while handling a situation that was about to go left because of somebody else's bullshyt. :wow:

I woke up 2 minutes before I log on, took a nap, jacked off, took another nap, then ate breakfast, watched TV, set up a VM, and now I'm watching TV again :myman:
:wow: the life. I chilled by the pool with the laptop most of the day before coming back inside to chill on the couch. Not a bad way to start my week :myman:

I don’t think I’m going back to working in the office if I can help it. Working 2 jobs, 1 is permanent remote and the other one only wants me in the office twice a month. I would take three jobs if I thought I could manage it.
I want to do this but I don’t know how to pull it off and what industry. My part time can’t be the same industry that I am in now.

This sounds like inspiration for how I should spend my work day tomorrow, aside from the pool, since it's too hot out here.

I'm taking a week off after tomorrow, and already know my motivation is about to be at an all time low.

just started this fully remote job in May. I’m thinking about double dipping but my main gig is Zoom heavy. Somedays my entire day is blocked out with 8 or 9 meetings. Don’t think I can manage another one

Hell yes. Just signed on with a new company that's going to let me work fully remote as well with a 10K pay raise. In my interview I made sure that we're not going to have to clock in and out and that I can work from anywhere without being tethered to a VPN modem like I am now. The new boss' answer was basically that we're all adults and as long as my work is getting done they don't care about any of that.

Eating real good off these two paychecks. I’m double dipping like a lot of people. As far as zoom meetings you need to start pulling back to being a passive participant and if there’s two meetings at the same times pick one, log on your phone, then toss that bytch in another room and if anyone asks where you are blame it on technical difficulties.
For me it’s pretty easy, 1 job is a much smaller team and I have to be a participant, the other one always has 30+ people on it so I just log on and let the meeting go on by itself. I already know everything they just keep reading the same bullshyt every year for the new hires.

Got fired

:yeshrug:

They wanted me to move back to NYC because my position was soooo important. Meanwhile there’s ppl in LA, Utah, Idaho & others “WFH” (AKA Traveling to Tulum & PR). But majority of the team left cause of pregnancies, pregnancies then quitting, lay-offs or just quitting.
