Just got word that I’ll be traveling to a client in about 2 months. Will be the first time in more than 18 months that I’ll be working in person with other people on consecutive days.

The proposal is work 1 day in the office, 4 days at home. Suppose to start after labor day so September 10th.

I'm cool with that but the thing is I still want to leave the organization. I got passed over for a promotion before and during the pandemic...three times.

I really don't want to look at these people, even one day a week. Put in for some jobs and one emailed me. Waiting to hear back to schedule an interview. I hope it's over the phone or at least through zoom or teams.
Update: Now it's 3 days in office and 7 days telework per pay period. This really sucks. In addition we're going to be sharing cubicles now.

I have had a couple of interviews since this post. No indication if I got the job or not though.

One job doesn't telework at all but it's a promotion for me so I'll still take it. The other job is a lateral and it looks like they'll have a one day a week policy of coming into the office.

And it's confirmed we're starting the day after Labor Day.

They pushed our Return To Office date out for everyone at my company to September 20th. After that they say 60% will stay remote and the other 40% will return Full-Time or Hybrid depending on job/financial responsibilities with more details to come.

:comeon:They purposely didn't clarify this much but I believe I'm in Group 1 and my management supports us staying remote. I purposely moved closer into the city so my commute has been lowered to 20-25 minutes if I have to go back to a satellite office. I believe Senior Management is going to try to push me into a new role soon, but with this inflation going on and having to commute I'd need close to a $20k promotion to consider it.

:mjlol: this shyt happened to me and I emailed my manager from my work phone that the power went out in my building.

Another time I fell asleep and missed a Skype meeting and I told my manager that someone pulled the fire alarm in my building so I had step outside for a while :mjlol:

This WFH life is great :blessed:
I told my supervisor there was a shooting in my building . Look at the news. They gave me a comp day.
