For now on when muhfukkas say silly shyt on here that makes absolutely no sense I'm hitting they ass with that HERESY!!!

Its amazing they made me enjoy zod. I cant describe how UNINTERESTED in zod i typically am. For all superman rouges it goes:

Tier zero: Luthor
Tier one: Darkseid, Braniac
Tier two: metallo, parasite
Tier three: zod, bizarro, solomon grundy

After this he is tier one to me

Honestly at this point can we just assume spoilers?

I appreciated them showing the story of KRYPTON...which outside of kandor is poorly told. The pain of jor-el and Laura sending their child away knowing death was imminent is something they don't really talk about or hadn't talked about enough in DC.

I have absolutely no gripes with this film with maybe one exception. I've always felt the character of Jonathan kent was poorly used. DC killed him a couple years ago in like two panels of comics :mindblown: it was Brainiac who did it with no followup that really pissed me off. I was glad however they showed that the death of Jonathan Kent was a life-altering moment for Superman. That was a big deal. It's interesting that this film did a better job of showing importance of Jonathan Kent then any comic I've ever read did.

They basically "Uncle Ben'd" Johnathan Kent with a twist...Clark's lack of action (and respect for his father's misguided wishes) resulted in his father's death so now he has the full weight of the "with great power comes great responsibility" hanging over all of his decisions moving forward.

Yeah
Anyone notice:

When Clark discovers the ship there's a pod there with a skeleton in it but there's another one there as well in the background that had alreadly been opened. :krs:

Well put

Kind of a cop out or unessecery retcon in retrospect, buti'm not gonna play that sarky game...maybe thats why i liked it though...spiderman is one of the few guys i like as much or more than superman

Supergirl? In the comics superman says supergirl isnt stronger than him its just that, she doesnt hold back, at all making her appear to be extra bad ass. Supposedly clark has mental blocks from living on earth that keep him from really going ape shyt. I couldnt tell the way he did Metropolis :skip:

I did...they never explained that did they?

I figured the open pod was zod's and the skeleton was a prisoner who didnt make it...but i was making that up.

Btw, no teaser after the credits...:yeshrug:

They can actually use Lex in multiple ways...as the mastermind behind villains who can go toe to toe with Superman and then when Lex decides he needs to take care of business personally he can get

They just would need to play their adversarial relationship as Superman vs an evil Tony Stark.

true but if they did that it would be like fighting Zod again between lex's suit in this pic and the suit zod wore in the movie it'd be too similar.

it's definitely a set up for something... But how long has the pod been open? That might negate the "mental block" theory.

I did too at first, until they explained that they got out the Phantom Zone when Krypton died. And plus, it would make sense that its a different ship.

Box office update: 'Man of Steel' soars to $44.1 million Friday, will speed past $100 million.
Warner Bros.’ $225 million franchise reboot, Man of Steel, took in a blazing $44.1 million on Friday. Including the $12 million earned on Thursday through corporate screening programs, the film has a $56.1 million total headed into the final two days of the weekend. By Sunday night, Man of Steel may earn about $125 million, which would stand as the second highest opening weekend of 2013 behind Iron Man 3‘s $174.1 million bow.
There’s also a chance that Man of Steel, which garnered an “A-” CinemaScore and has massive potential for Father’s Day business, may hold up better the average tentpole and finish closer to my $132 million prediction. Stay tuned to EW to see where it finishes.
