They explained that every Kryptonian is born and bred to do a specific task.

His was to protect the Kryptonian race....LITERALLY.

That was the point they were making in the beginning about how "what if a child aspired to be something else...not what society says so"

every society has a hierarchy. he was a soldier with a job, but he wasnt afforded the right to ultimately make decisions, so he broke rank/character, right there murdering kryptonian congress, then hunting his best friend down and killing him in cold blood, so lets not act like he was doing his job by the book. he went rogue, as many evil maniacs have done over history, because they "know better."

Since Zod was bred to protect the Kryptonian Race and now that the World Machine has been destroyed wouldn't Zod's genetic conditioning now force him to protect Kal at all costs, to ensure that the race continues.

I mean, he's angry that Kal througha monkey wrench in the plan but atleast now he has no choice but to be on Kal's side.

I don't know bruh... Pride and Wrath seem to be second to "What is supposed to be, word to my genetics" when we are speaking about the Kryptonian race.

If he was human, I would understand, because we are mentally weak.

I could rationally see Zod helping Kal in the second installment against a bigger foe.

Possibly a change in the timeline where Doomsday makes an appearrance as the most powerful villian Cinema has ever seen... INan all out battle with Both Superman and Zod, and in the process straight destroying Zod to the last Atom and putting Supes in that long sleep.

shyt would be the most epic thing we'd ever seen on a screen. The fight spannign across planets...destroying like half of the Earth, and putting Earth's vulnerability on the universe's map bringing more super races trying to get a piece of the pie Doomsday exposed.
