thats why u carry cash all the time. having ur card declined is something no self respecting man wants to ever happen. and u cant blame the bank cause like u said, they're looking out for u. if they see someone purchasing something in florida with ur card, but u live in arizona, AND u just purchased something in arizona within the last 1 hour or so, they have good reason to believe ur card has been jeopardized.

Just this morning at work I’m in the breakfast line a couple people behind my boss, he gets up to the cash register and his card declines for some links, eggs and a juice…I’m standing there like da fuk..he told the lunch lady to try again and she did, shyt declined again ..the lady behind him hands him some cash, not sure how much she gave him but he pays and then he walks off with this embarrassed look..about a half hour later I went to his office to chop it up and I asked him what was wrong wit the lunch ladys card reader and he just flat out said “Nothing..that was all me, 2 ex-wives and a mortgage leaves the tank empty”…I changed the subject after that but it got me thinking..damn yo..we gotta learn how to manage our money better than this, that’s unacceptable..stop living above your means brehs..whats the point in having a 5 bedroom house if you cant buy hot links and eggs, brehs.

Why do people keep throwing around random cities like NYC, SF and DC? This dude lives in f#ckin Wisconsin

And even if you live in those cities, $120K is enough to eat, sleep and have some fun. Maybe not as lavishly as if the same amount is being made in other cities, but you're not starving. And if you are, you're simply horrible with money.

And what trips me out, is that I bet some of the people making those "that's not a lot of money in XYZ city" points probably don't even make $120K and don't even live in the cities they're talking about.

Yeah, 120K after taxes and deductions and all that, you're taking home around $5.5K a month. Child support and alimony is gonna eat a lot of that up no doubt, but you're in Wisconsin. You should be able to live a relatively comfortable life on that.

i know its hard to grasp for a lot of people...but 120k is NOT a lot of money.....

its easy to go through....FAST....

ive made that before and i live in louisiana....

there are expensive areas no matter where you live...im sure even in wisconsin there are places with houses worth $500k+...and expensive private schools

should he be able to manage with 120k? sure theoretically...but him struggling is not uncommon....

something stands out big time to me in this thread...a lot of yall have never made a lot of money or been around people that make a lot of money....
