It's 2013 dude. I'm sure there were PLENTY of gay marchers marching with MLK, believe it or not, there are gay black people.Stop comparing the gay lifestyle to being black...they are not the same. Who is teaching you this shyt?!
Where were these gay people when MLK was marching through Selma? Now, you want us to jump on board with people that were invisible when we were enslaved and being lynched
The gay rights movement was directly inspired by Martin Luther King jr and the black civil rights movement. The gay rights movement began only 5 or so years after King.
And he isn't comparing the lifestyle. He is comparing the fight to obtain equal rights.
Stop letting your bigotry towards gays rob you of logic. We can tell you're emotional as hell.
I also always find it interesting that the anti-homosexual folks who will have 50 posts in a single thread about homosexuality NEVER post in any threads of intellectual merit. Is this the only thing you can speak on because there is no research or intelligence needed? You can just speak your bigoted views and you'll find more than enough folks on here to dap up your posts.

I don't know...I'm saying the only people who can really know for sure are people who classify themselves as gay. I'm not presuming that it can or cannot be repressed.

The problem I have with this gay movement is how they are using black people as some kind of crutch to justify their movement because they have no other leg to stand on. These so-called "invisible" gay people who marched with MLK should have came out as gay instead having a hidden agenda...wouldn't you say? That would be some sneaky shyt if you ask me. That is why they are not the same.

This has NOTHING to do with whether there were gay folks marching with MLK.
I'm a regular poster here in Higher-Learning so I generally know the folks I see in science/history or other intellectual threads. Your ass ain't one of them. Folks crawl out the woodwork when they see a thread about homosexuality.
What do you mean they have no leg to stand on? They're human fukking beings, they deserve the right to marry each other in their pursuit of happiness (an unalienable right). Humans fall in love with eachother, start families and get married. That's what we do. It doesn't matter if you're white, black asian, gay, heterosexual or bisexual.
That's what we're talking about here. Not whether homos marched with fukking martin luther king.

It makes me throw up how all these black celebrities preach "Noh8" and proudly wear the accompanying insignia and openly campaign against prop 8 but they get sheepish, talk about how "it's 2013" and play devil's advocate for white racists when it comes to the topic of RACISM against BLACKS. You would never have a white homosexual talk about "forgiving and forgetting" the way these dumb ass celebrity blacks go on about "post racial Obama America" or whatever

I have no problem with gay marriage/gay rights. But it's NOT THE SAME as being black. Do NOT compare the two experiences.
