school me. The movie was 95% predictable. Only thing i didnt see coming was the
Trailer full of women.
. Only thing that kept me in my seat was Zoe's nipples poking through that shirt :whew:

One thing that bothered me is seeing everybody climbing all over the engine components of a dual engine truck running who knows how many pounds of boost at redline for the entire duration of the movie. Onechick was literally holding on for dear life by the flex pipe. :wtf:

You drive for two hours in a passenger car and it gets reasonably warm. You driving a big rig, in the desert, for hours on end while the truck is overheating, and mofos just lounging inside the engine compartment. :mindblown:

With three cavalries coming at you all at once... the LAST thing you'll be concern about is the temperature of the engine... and even with that, throughout the movie they were trying to keep the engine cool.

@SumBlackguyz, the entire movie is summed up by the quote at the end: “Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search of to better ourselves.”

The entire film is an allegorical tale about triumphing over your own challenges and trials in your life, not by running around from them, but facing them dead on and going back and uproot the problem from where it all began.

There's a lot of biblical and spiritual symbolism throughout and moralistic themes of guilt (Max), hope (The Wives), redemption (Furiosa) and faith (Nux). All of them with the exception of Max believed in some false "promise land" and their entire venture was to reach this promise land except it doesn't exist. Max being the only nonbeliever because of the guilt he was carrying to which is why he told Furiosa how hope could make one go insane. He, himself, was wrong when he caught an epiphany through his visions of the girl he couldn't save when he realizes that he can also find redemption in saving those people in reaching their goal which was too return back home. Everything they were search for was right there. Instead of running away from that existence, it is better to face it and change it for the better which means directly go through the obstacle that's after them.

Thus the quote at the end. All of them were seeking better lives... going off seeking a better life without realizing that it can be found right where they were at to begin with.

IDK but your description seems better in theory than what I actually watched. I recognized those thems, but it didn't compel me. guess im due for a re-watch.

a little Coli overhype. Yes, but this ain't overhype on the level of Godzilla or Gravity. Because the movie is worthy of the praise when it comes to cinematography, choreography, colors, etc. I was expecting superwomen like the chick from T2 which was ridiculous (that little skinny women punching men :childplease:) but for the most part I could tolerate it in this movie. Yeah, I know I just criticized a sacred cow but how I felt when I was little.

I was surprised at the amount of women who were hurt or killed in here. Since it's a spoiler thread, my mouth was wide open when the pregnant woman was hurt. Didn't expect that at all. There def. was some cheesy parts. Like the 1 armed chick crying in the middle of the desert. Way overdramatic. Everybody survivng the crash, storm, without any major injuring. Especially, the dude that was chained to Max was rididculous. But overall a good not great movie.

Coli overhype? :dead:

The hype for Mad Max it's almost universal breh

Everybody in the theater I went to was :mjlol: whenever the guitar guy showed up
they only did that when they showed him napping on his bungie cords. I :mjlol: though when Max was fighting around him and then he got his guitar back and immediately started playing again.
