Harper was red hot right after Bray won the WWE Title at Elimination Chamber and turn against Bray Wyatt. He was in a match with AJ Styles to see who would face Wyatt at WM. The match was BS because Harper basically won a Battle Royal the week before when they both went over at the same time and botched it, and Harper clearly touched last.

Long story short. Orton got the shot at WM and next thing you know Harper lost all his momentum and we saw bugs and worms projected on the ring at WM. :scust:
I vaguely remember that, the house of horrors match turned me off of anything bray related

That's what the IC/US are suppose to be. They just cannot book those belt runs properly anymore and they don't need anymore titles either, too many as it is.

Not when you got this bloated of a roster

I think about the WCW days and they had the main title, US title, cruiserweight, TV, hardcore and tag titles. Norman Smiley was getting shine through that hardcore title, Booker T rose up on the TV title (and tag titles of course) etc.

They had a HUGE roster with a ton of divisions, but the cruiserweights had their own shyt going, there was a time where DDP was the US champ, lower tier guys were going for the TV title, misfits were going for the hardcore title, and then the top tier were either in storylines like Bret vs. Flair, or were going for the WCW title.

I mean I get that is what the US and IC titles are for, but with a huge roster, a lot of people are aimless. Give a few titles (who cares about prestige :mjlol:) so that they have a reason to be there :manny:

His best stuff in WWE was during the time the Wyatts n Shield was beefing. ESPECIALLY they match at Elimination Chamber. I’d put that match up against ANY GOAT match.

All the titles have been clusterphucked and made unimportant. Just adding another shiny toy into the mix isn't going to improve their incompetence.

The roster bloated because they use the same people for the same match ups over and over again week in week out. From Feb 11th till WM Balor/Lashley wrestled 7 times in various matches. There was literally no need for them to have 7 matches to get to their WM match.

They abandoned the charismatic cult leader motif and went full weird and gross.

I felt like Harper asking for his release was a given, considering he cut a promo on social media to get Dijak some props for one of his last WWE matches.

You knew something was coming.

That tells you a whole lot about him. Seems like a great dude and the kind of guy anyone would want at or near the top of the business.

If they used their belts right, a TV belt would do wonders for the midcard ring workers who are simply lost in the shuffle and the hardcore belt would be awesome for those guys with crazy personality/charisma and nothing to do.

Never understood why they didn't fully utilize this dude. I bet Vince just didn't "get" him. "He's weird looking, pal!"

WWE Reportedly Extending Luke Harper's Contract Until Early 2020 - Wrestling Inc.

It looks like Luke Harper won't be leaving WWE any time soon.

As was speculated, WWE is adding another 6 months to Harper's contract to make up for the time he missed for wrist surgery, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Harper's contract was to end in November of this year, but WWE has added to it because it was "frozen" while he was on the shelf.

We noted before how Harper took to Twitter on April 16 to announce that he had requested his release. He had previously tweeted about being concerned or unhappy with his position in WWE going into the WrestleMania 35 Axxess events, where he wrestled Dominik Dijakovic for the Worlds Collide tapings. That match aired last week on the WWE Network, Harper's first WWE TV match since last summer.

It was believed that WWE could add to Harper's contract to make up for the time he missed when he was injured, and according to the Observer, that is what has happened. There has been obvious speculation on Harper going to All Elite Wrestling once he's a free agent and he is good friends with AEW's Vice President of Business Strategy, Chris Harrington.

Harper would be able to leave WWE around WrestleMania 36 time next year.
