How this company can publicly treat people like this today still is amazing.
I think it's because wrestling has a bad perception already that no one knows or cares about their scumbag business antics. I don't know why they are hassling Luke Harper this hard other than this idea that he's their property and he's done when they say he's done. They were never planning on doing much with dude other than making him southern because reasons. They don't even need him. His role with WWE is big bearded tag team wrestler and or big bearded bodyguard/henchmen and they have Sanity and The Viking Experience who could fill that void. I don't even think dude is chasing glory in AEW I think Brody Lee/ Harper just wants the creative freedom and lighter schedule to perform when and how he wants and to be around his growing family. He probably doesn't want to take them to court and wanted to leave on good terms but this shyt is grimy he did everything they asked and was a respected member of the locker room. It just shows how possessive they are.

Just let them go. Do the no compete for three months and be rid of them. Don't keep rightfully disgruntled employees around to be petty. Vince is a piece of shyt for that.
The correct term is independent contractors

Treat people like what?

They didn't like his ideas, they didn't like what he brought to the table, so they sent him HOME WITH PAY to do nothing and wait till they had something.

Damn sounds awful.
And then added six months to his contract despite having absolutely nothing to do with him, including leaving him off the Raw/Smackdown rosters, and denying his request to be released.

So the fukk what.

Luke Harper is 40 years old. He isnt 23 years old. He has had major injuries like 3 times in his WWE career.

He is getting paid to do nothing. How much longer was he going to do this? Until hes 50? 60? Come on now. He doeant have that much longer left anyway. Rest your body. Enjoy your family.

AEW or whatever the fukk he wants to do will still be there.

So he should be cool with his employer telling him they have nothing for him to do, no plans in the foreseeable future, him asking to be released, and instead them extending his contract?

It doesn't matter how old he is. Kurt Angle is 50, clearly shouldn't be in the ring, can't even stand straight, but they had him out there embarassing himself. Age has nothing to do with them having nothing for him.

It's not just about money for all of these cats. Some of them actually like to and want to wrestle.

Vince Goatso talking about the power of the KLIQ.
Luke isn’t an alpha male like HBGOAT. He toes the line, if he had some main eventers with him he wouldn’t have this problem.

the heat backstage against the Kliq:”“Whoa, bro, they had a lot of heat. They had a lot of heat in the locker room with a lot of the boys. I even remember bro, like they had their own locker room. And I can remember some of the boys leaving derogatory signs on their locker room door. I mean, literally like, bro they had a lot of heat.”

On the level of power that the Kliq had: “You know, bro, it’s funny because… I’m just telling you bro, with a personality like Shawn Michaels who was at the head of this, I don’t think there was ever a time, Matt, where Vince McMahon ever had any control over Shawn Michaels. Ever. I mean, ever. I always think for whatever reason, Shawn — I never saw a guy that would say to Vince McMahon whatever he wanted to say, bro. And I swear to god, Vince never had control of that relationship with Shawn. So now you add to that Kevin, and now you add to that Scott. You know, X-Pac and Triple H at that time were the silent minority, but I mean, my god bro. You’ve got Shawn, Scott and Kevin meeting with Vince? Bro, those guys are gonna walk out of that meeting getting what they want. I mean, there’s just no question about it. And there was a lot of heat among the boys.”

On whether criticism of the Kliq getting people buried was legit: “Well Matt, I’ve gotta tell you something. I think a lot of it was jealousy. I think a lot of guys were jealous of the stroke. But don’t take it out on them, take it out on Vince McMahon. I mean, Vince McMahon was the one who gave them that stroke. Bro, if anybody could get that kind of stroke, I don’t care who you are. You’re gonna take it. So I don’t blame them for having the stroke that they did. Vince McMahon gave them that stroke. So I think a lot of jealousy bro, came with that. Because a lot of guys feared Vince and they wouldn’t talk back to Vince. You know, they would just never have that kind of stroke that the Kliq had!”

Disagree about the age thing. This is a young mans game like any professional sport. They take hits. They take bumps. They get hurt.

Im happy he wants to still wrestle. And he still will. Until then rest up, and stfu and dont complain. Free money.

The current US champion is older than Luke. The current WWE champ and Intercontinental champ are 2 years younger. There are many guys in their late 30s through late 40s getting play.
