Luke Harper is looking to move on.

Harper took to social media to announce that he has requested his release from WWE. As of now, the release has not been granted.

“As of this evening, I have requested a release from WWE. The past 6 years have been a simply, amazing journey around the world and back with lifelong friends and family. I am proud to say I shared the ring with my co workers.

This decision, as difficult as it was, feels right for myself and WWE. My goal in the future is to continue to grow as a performer and person and continue to make my family proud.

Thank you. From the top to the bottom of WWE. Thank you to the fans for your undying support. Thank you everyone.”

Horrible misuse of talent.

Luke Harper got a good match outta Randy Orton. Never forget this. Dude got cheered against AJ Styles. Only people who have been underutilized on a higher level are Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev.
Sasha Banks. Technically, shes supposed to bigger than Kofi, Becky, and everyone else. But they took a knife to her stomach in 2016 to make it seem like Charlotte was a winner.

They FOUND shyt for Corbin but had this guy on the sidelines? Do you believe that? Lol.

This thread is about Luke Harper, not Sasha Banks. I don't disagree about her being underutilized tho.

Im honestly surprised more guys dont request their release. Not even to AEW but its just overcrowded on the main roster for WWE and not everyone is making huge amounts of money anyway. Its a weird time. Maybe they stay even for slight pay but they got nothing going on

I'm sure there have been that we just don't hear about, also it's a process of realization. You grind on indies to make it to the big show and all the benefits that come with. You enjoy financial stability and good catering for a few years before you realize you saved up enough dough and you wanna go back on your own for the love of the sport.

Oh word - he actually quit? :ohhh:

Vince probably told him "Hey, pal - Bring that Bludgeon Brothers hammer to TV with you. We're adding you to The Viking Experience as Thor :cokeboycism:"

The energy going around is like certain names want OUT now that they feel there is growing other option....

Harper was a guy that would have been set regardless of AEW starting up. He has a long established indie pedigree and would for sure have been cleaning up in PWG/ROH/GCW and whoever wanted to bring him to Japan.
