Watched the Rumble match again and I still stand by the SS match being the better. And Okada/Omega was way better than the Rumble match.

I can't take your opinion serious if you think otherwise. The Rumble match had too much stalling and a spot fest with spam finishers that were more than usual. Plus Cena used Big E's Big Pillow finisher.

For the record, WK11 was my first ever full puro event I saw.

None of these people you listed left WWE to go work specifically for NJPW full time.

Until someone actually does that it's a moot point

Your just being obtuse now

Most of them wanted to leave WWE and looked at New Japan as the wrestling counter choice

Oh by the way in Angle, AJ and Hogan's case? They went to New Japan because they actually believe in the concept of independent contractor which New Japan gave them as well as big payday allowing them to try other places under the lighter schedule.

Most people go to WWE as a first priority sure because everyone has mark ass dreams. But the further you get into the industry and when you look at the current bullshyt product where your not control of your destiny , the more Japan is seen as a good alternative.

Now with them starting to do shows in the US and a tv show and a North American wrestler ready to push them into the US region, they are less and less and alternative and more a first choice.
Even guys like Ibushu gave WWE the camby when they came at them.

Cena/Styles was better and only the top 1% of neckbeards disagree

b-but a 60 year old nerd gave it 6 stars

:hhh:

To dismiss Dave Meltzer as a 60 year old nerd is to discount the discipline of art criticism. Dave Meltzer is this art form's Michiko Kakutani.

The same 60 year old nerd who gave many of Shawn Michaels' matches 5 stars? :ohhh:
He was a 40 year old nerd then :lolbron:

Hes not even Roger Ebert. Dave is not a great reviewer, his strong points are biographies and reporting.

I'll concede that he's not the best at explaining WHY his ratings are as they are. But when he says something is good, I'm inclined to believe him. That man has sat through more wrestling, both classic and contemporary, than I will EVER have the patience to watch.

Obtuse? You're telling me that NJPW is a legit alternative to WWE for top wrestlers, but then naming off dumb ass examples of guys who worked one or two matches in Japan after they left. :dahell:

Angle? He went to TNA a month after WWE, he didn't work a match in Japan until 3 years later, and only then it was a few matches, not full-time.

Hogan? Worked a couple matches, before signing full-time with WCW.

AJ? WTF are you mentioning him? He went from TNA to Japan, then Japan to WWE. Which is my whole fukkin point... WWE is the big leagues and it's where guys in Japan wanna go. 3 top guys left NJPW for WWE last year. No top guy has ever left WWE to go work exclusively in Japan.

Again, :mjlol: @ NJPW being a "first choice" -- for WHO? You can keep saying that shyt all you want, but until someone actually does it, it's nothing more than a myth in your head. What wrestler who has ever been on top in WWE is choosing to be in NJPW instead? Omega will obviously be in WWE soon enough if you heard his interview with Meltz, so even he realizes it.

Cody literally JUST DID THIS.

:dwillhuh:

No, he didn't leave WWE for NJPW, he left WWE to work a high school gyms with fat fukks like CHris Hero to live out his smark childhood dreams and try to pay tribute to his dad.

If NJPW was such a great alternative like @prophecypro is saying, Cody would have left and signed a full-time Japan deal instead of fukking around with the Global Force world title and trash like that.
