In a post Bullet Club world and given that the promotion has grown despite losing stars I would say the upside is there

That's basically why Kenny is staying. WWE wanted him and he sees upside not only salary but in expansion to North America. So he's basically wants to part of what looks like the re-establishiment of New Japan as a viable option vs WWE

I mean if 100k is the only difference between WWE and New Japan for a guy like AJ who's a top guy in both (and you know he was seeing BC merch money) then New Japan is a legit alternative

Yea but that's 100k difference of WWE mid-card (which is what they brought AJ in as) vs. NJPW top guy, so that shows you how different the scale is

But also, that's only 100k downside, there's a lot more money-making opportunity aside from that in WWE than NJPW such as WM payout, live events, PPV, merch.

I mean WWE dudes aint getting Armani ads like Devitt was. And most money making opportunities for WWE come when they literally pry away from WWE (Brock, Rock, Batista...and arguably for shyt that was less and less about their WWE past)

In fact its because of how big Rock and Brock got outside of WWE, they clamped down on contracts and did more 50/50 booking so people dont blow up unless its their choices

So why wouldn't go to Japan and see how much better you do?

Being a western wrestler big in Japan has more and more benefits as decades go by.

I dunno, why has nobody done it yet? Don't you think that question kind of answers itself?

Kurt Angle did
Hogan, Lesnar and AJ all did.
Bryan wants to, we know his contract situation
and Punk made overtures to try probably would if he goes back to wrestling
And Cody wants to and so do the Hardys

The fact we even know of New Japan is become western wrestlers have gone.

That answers that itself

None of these people you listed left WWE to go work specifically for NJPW full time.

Until someone actually does that it's a moot point
