Longterm, the lack of good SPORTS games is going to hurt this "next gen"(PS4 & XB1) of gaming

folks that dont like madden whatever happen to hip hop gamer and his 2k push back into football stuff he was spewing

It was :duck: or things didn't materialize as planned.

But Madden did make a HUGE gameplay change going to their physics based engine 2 years ago. Why people act like that is not HUGE is rediculous. To say they've done nothing is definitely bullshyt in that regards. That was the single biggest leap they've made since going from sprites to 3D back in Madden 99.

I agree with the OP... In my circle all everyone plays is 2K/Madden. They might buy cod every 2 years or so but they copped next gen systems mainly to play next gen sports games.

I passed on madden this gen but it was really a time based thing. Gen started right when I got out of college and I just wasn't into putting the time into madden like that. Picked it back up in 13 (didn't like it) and got my footing back in '25. I like the PS4 version of madden now, but I realize it aint for everyone.

Hell I'm buying the show in a month and I probably haven't seen a beisball game in 4 years let alone play one.

I knew people would be like that with Madden though. The closer it gets to real football the less 'fun' it is.

The problem is there isnt any variety in sports games anymore. If you want a game its only one company that makes it, so if you arent a fan of the series you have nowhere else to turn. Also everything is going the realistic route. Sometimes you want a bball game that lets you do redicilous dunks (Where is my next gen NBA Street), a football game with over the top hits and moves, or a baseball game that didnt have you going the whole game with 7 hits. 7 hits is cool at a real game but not when im behind the controller. I wanna be out there smashing homers, stealing bases, and throwing extremely exaggerated pitches.

Sure Run N Gun wasnt realistic but it was fun using the double clutch button to do impossible dunks and layups. Was it realstic that you could juke and spin your way to the endzone at will in them first NFL 2K games, no but it was fun because if you had good stick skills you could embarrass people.

I am definately in need of a next gen boxing sim and another football option. Hell...I don't mind another basketball game option (nba live has been trash since 2005...no need to a knowledge their existence in relevance).

Why can't we have a boxing game with the deepness of victorious boxers with realistic looking graphics? I don't even need it to be real life boxers...just deep sim boxing that doesn't look like anime lol

i dont remember it being like that for ps3 :manny:
I did, the PS2/XBOX versions were more polished.

Plus the jump for 2K14 was huge compared to what 2K did when the 360/PS3 launched this go around in terms of graphics
