But my initial point isn't that these prevent shootings. The point is enacting laws similar to the top states in gun safety statistically are proven to help prevent these types of mass causality events. Republicans at every chance vote against them and alot of their states have very high gun violence in result.

I work in Alpharetta, was in a meeting and one of the attendees jumped up and ran out without saying anything. We all found out the shooting news shortly afterwards. His son attends that school and is safe. Scary moment though.
